A Pokemon fan has recently devised a unique piece of fan art by fusing Ditto with Quagsire. Pokemon fusions are very popular among the franchise’s community, and this piece is an interesting take on the concept.

The subjects of the fusion, Ditto and Quagsire, are two classic Pokemon that originally appeared in the 90s. Ditto was introduced in the first generation of the franchise, and it can mimic the appearance and powers of any other creature, which makes it rather unique. Ditto can be found in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and it has been available in all mainline Pokemon games released until now. Quagsire, on the other hand, is the Water/Ground-type evolution of Wooper, and it was introduced in Pokemon Gold and Silver. While it’s not as popular as Ditto, its appearance is very memorable due to its silly, happy face.

Pokemon Fan Designs New Pokemon Based on 'Gourmet' and 'Sound' Types

A talented Pokemon fan creates two brand-new types of creatures, Gourmet and Sound, and uses them to imagine six new monsters.

Now, an artist called rc1246 devised a new fusion for Ditto and Quagsire, creating a horrific creature. The fusion is essentially a bright, pink version of Quagsire covered in goo, which greatly resembles Gen 1 creatures like Muk and Grimer due to the gooey shape of its body. Overall, it’s an interesting design that retains enough characteristics from both Pokemon but has an uncanny appearance, looking as if Ditto tried to turn into a Quagsire, but something went wrong and it's melting.

Rc1246 is a prolific Pokemon fan artist and has designed art for several Pokemon fusions before, including a fusion of Ditto and Steelix last month. If the Ditto-Quagsire fan art already looked weird, this fusion is creepy, as it looks like a huge, menacing snake covered in thick pink ooze. Unlike rc1246’s latest design, it comes with a Shiny version, too, which is gray instead of pink.

Last month, another artist also shared art giving Ditto a new form, creating two new Paradox forms for Ditto. The past Paradox form of the creature was called Mimic Spike, and was a Normal/Rock-type Pokemon that gave the creature a crown of spikes and a feral appearance. The future version, however, was named Iron Replica, and looked much cuter, turning the shapeshifting Pokemon into a Normal/Electric-type hologram coming out of a Pokeball-shaped box. At the moment, the Pokemon franchise has over 1,000 creatures, and it’ll be interesting to see what other concepts fans will come up with, especially by fusing them with the popular Ditto to create weird creatures.
