Pokemon come in all shapes, sizes, and kinds, but many people love Pokemon for how cute they can be. This includes the game series' many cat Pokemon, but that doesn't mean there can't be even more, with the help of talented fan artists.

One such fan artist took to the internet recently to share some special Pokemon fanart they've created. The art takes some iconic and popular Pokemon and turns them into cats, with the results being as cute as one might expect.

Redditor kingoftheshow shared their designs for several Poke-cat enamel pins with fellow Pokemon fans. The designs include Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Togepi, Squirtle, and Eevee, all as adorable kittens. Pikachu, Eevee, and Togepi are sitting politely, while Bulbasaur stretches out like a cat and Squirtle rolls around on its back, revealing that it even has cat paw pads on its feet.

As one might guess, the Pokemon cats are a big hit among fellow Pokemon fans on the social media site. Many responded in the comments to kingoftheshow's post praising them for their designs, while others inquired as to where they could purchase them. Kingoftheshow is currently holding a Kickstarter for the pins in order to raise the funds to produce them in bulk. Others in the comments lamented that their favorites, including the missing Kanto starter Charmander, were missing from the cat collection. However, kingoftheshow noted that they might create more designs, and Charmander could be included the next time around.

Plenty of Pokemon have cute original designs, but fan artists often find ways to amp up that cuteness even more. For example, Bulbasaur recently got a fan variant that saw it as a Boba-saur, combining the grass-type starter with boba pearl tea. And while Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are still a ways off before release, that hasn't stopped fans from celebrating its newest arrivals, creating adorable fanart of Pokemon like Smoliv and a particularly fluffy version of new starter Quaxly.

Pokemon is fairly rare, in that while many people meet it for the first time as kids, just as many adults love the series. Some parents introduce their kids to Pokemon for the first time when they're newborns, adding Pokemon decorations to nurseries and building custom Pokemon mobiles to entertain the kids. Cute designs like these cat-ified Pokemon are perfect for children and adults alike, continuing to add further appeal to some of the Gen 1 and 2 creatures that helped pave the way for the hundreds that followed. Those Pokemon games may be quite old at this point, but fans will keep dreaming up new ways to celebrate the classics.
