A Pokemon fan recently decided to make an incredible piece of art based on Bulbasaur and its evolutions using an Etch-a-Sketch. The fact that gamers are making fan art based on Bulbasaur should not come as a huge surprise, considering how popular this Pokemon has become with fans. Nevertheless, this Etch-a-Sketch art has managed to stand out.

As part of the original Gen 1 Pokedex, Bulbasaur is one of the Kanto starters that players could pick from when starting Pokemon Red and Blue. As a result, it has become instantly recognizable to many fans of the franchise. This Grass/Poison-type Pokemon has a greenish coloration and features an adorable plant-themed design, highlighted by a large plant bulb on its back. In addition, its evolutions are Ivysaur and Venusaur. Recently, one Pokemon fan thought the designs of these Grass/Poison-type pocket monsters would be the perfect choice for Etch-a-Sketch drawings.

The artist that decided to make this unique type of Pokemon artwork was Princess Etch, also known as Pikajane on Reddit, and the results of the project showed the immense amount of talent needed to make the drawings. In the post on Reddit, the artist shared a video that showed her creating Bulbasaur. While she started with a blank canvas, the sped-up video showed her quickly turning the pair of nobs attached to the Etch-a-Sketch, causing the shape of a Bulbasaur to form. After a few more seconds, the video revealed that she had completed the entire design of the pocket monster.

In addition to sketching a detailed image of Bulbasaur, Princess Etch did not stop there. The video continued to see her create images of Ivysaur and Venusaur. Each of these drawings contained the same impressive amount of detail seen with Bulbasaur, including the plant growths on their backs. While these finished drawings were eye-catching regardless of how they were created, they were made even more notable since Princess Etch had managed to make them using only the two dials on an Etch-a-Sketch.

It is worth noting that this is not the only Etch-a-Sketch artwork created by Princess Etch on Reddit. Over the last few months, she has made numerous other sketches of Pokemon. For example, the artist had previously created an impressive drawing of Milotic, which she revealed was her “favorite” Pokemon. Just a couple of the other pocket monsters she has sketched include Groudon, Arcanine, and Pikachu. It will be interesting to see what pocket monsters this talented artist decides to create next using an Etch-a-Sketch.
