A talented Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fan has made Paradox forms for Sableye and Lanturn. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet introduced the Paradox Pokemon gimmick that has become a hit with fans. The concept has inspired many fan art creations from Pokemon fans, reimagining the pocket monsters in various ways.

That is the case with Sableye and Lanturn, Pokemon that got new looks in creative fan art. Gen 3 featured Sableye, and although it's not the best Dark-type Pokemon of its generation, some details make it stand out. Sableye is a Dark/Ghost-type Pokemon with a purple body, sharp teeth and claws, and a red jewel on its chest. Its eyes are like gems, an influence of its diet consisting of rocks and raw gemstones. Lantern is a Water/Electric-type Pokemon featured in Gen 2 that evolves from Chinchou from level 27. The Pokemon's appearance is very similar to that of an anglerfish, and just like its real-life counterpart, it inhabits the depths of the ocean.

Pokemon Fan Reimagines Deoxys as an Electric Type

A talented Pokemon fan shares a fan art re-imagining Deoxys as an Electric-type, giving the Mythical Pokemon a new form with lore.

Reddit user OzoneFruit assigned Paradox forms to Sableye and Lanturn with an impressive result. Sableye became the Past Paradox Pokemon Tricky Gems, a Dark/Rock-type with the potential to be one of the creepiest Pokemon ever. Tricky Gems shares similarities with Sableye, such as the color of its body and the design of its face and head, and its body is long like a lizard. Tricky Gems has pink crystals scattered around its body, reminding Pokemon fans of Diancie's crystals. According to the Pokedex entry created by the artist, Tricky Gems resembles a beast from fairy tales that lures its victims with shiny crystals to devour them.

Lanturn became the Future Paradox Pokemon Iron Lumen, an Electric/Ground-type Pokemon with a peculiar design. Iron Lumen has the same colors and design as Lanturn, a mechanical body with an electronic display as eyes. Its fins and tail have become a type of propeller and rudder, and its antenna could pass for a periscope. Showing love for one of the forgotten Water-type Pokemon, OzoneFruit has created a Pokedex entry for the critter. It says that Iron Lumen has the appearance of a submersible featured in a science fiction documentary. Some people believe that it is a Lanturn from billions of years in the future.

While fans continue to make creative Paradox forms, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet also brought new Pokemon in addition to those available in the base game. With the release of the second DLC pack, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will introduce more Paradox Pokemon. With this, players will meet Raging Bolt, Raikou's past Paradox form, and Iron Crown, Cobalion's future Paradox form.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now for Nintendo Switch.
