Pokemon has not only one of the most dedicated fanbases of all time, but arguably one of the most artistically creative as well. This can be seen through the near-constant stream of fans posting their Pokemon-related artwork through a variety of mediums. Arguably the most prolific of those mediums, at least at the moment, seems to be crocheting, with one fan getting a lot of attention for their impressive crochet version of Meganium.

The final evolution for popular starter Chikorita, Meganium evolves from Bayleef beginning at level 32. Meganium sadly isn't in the long-running franchise's latest video game entry, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, but Johto starter colleague Cyndaquil is one of Pokemon's three starters.

Posted onto r/Pokemon, a user by the handle of u/jillianjiggs92 is going viral for their adorable crocheted version of Johto region's Meganium. The crocheted creation is a spot-on rendition of the docile Grass-type, with every single element executed with excellent accuracy. The coloring of Meganium's skin, antennae, and petals all appear to be identical to the canon, as is the Pokemon's overall dimensions. What sets this apart from other crocheted Pokemon is the attention to detail, with the majority of the aspects looking like a professional product. Tying the entire scene together is Meganium's appropriately leafy surroundings.

Fans have been quick to laud the Pokemon fan for their incredible creation, with things like "I honestly don't think this could have been done any better" populating the post's comment section. The same page has been a hotbed for crocheted Pokemon as of late, with another fan going viral a few days earlier for their adorable versions of Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and Charmander. While perhaps not quite as game/anime-accurate as Meganium, the three iconic Kanto region starters have an undeniably cutesy charm about them, with each of the Pokemon holding little crocheted pokeballs.

While the Pokemon fandom always seems to be churning out artistic creations, it seems to have ramped up a bit recently. This could possibly be because of the upcoming Pokemon Day, which officially takes place on February 27. The annual celebratory day's festivities will feature a variety of reveals related to Pokemon's many games. Pokemon's official Japanese Twitter account revealed daily announcements are being made for a number of the franchise's ongoing titles, including Pokemon TCG, Pokemon Sword and Shield, Pokemon Cafe Mix, and more.

The impressive crocheted Meganium certainly warrants all the attention its getting, and is yet again another shining example of how artistically creative the Pokemon fandom is. Whether its digital Pokemon art or physical, its safe to say the fan-made creations won't stop anytime soon.
