One dedicated Pokemon fan is continuing their quest to merge all 151 monsters from the Kanto region into one single creature. The epic challenge of fusing every first-gen Pokemon began last month and has already incorporated some of the most recognizable Pocket monsters.

Fan art for Pokemon has been around almost as long as the franchise itself. Thanks to the Paradox Pokemon which were first introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, fans have been going into overdrive imagining which creatures should be in line for the new treatment. Monsters like Tentacruel and Dewgong have been transformed into Paradox Pokemon thanks to the creativity of the community.

The user TB_Mumpitz over on Reddit, however, wants to reimagine all of the Kanto Pokemon into one form. At the time of writing, they are 21 days into the challenge and have already utilized the body of a Gyarados, along with parts of Alakazam, Zapdos, and Snorlax. The order in which each Pokemon appears in the design is left to people in the r/Pokemon subreddit. The top comment from the previous day will be incorporated into the monster. Currently, the forerunner for day 22 is to replace the crest of Gyarados with the antenna of a Caterpie.

Ideas for the ultimate fusion of Pokemon have ranged from mild requests including stacking Ghastly, Voltorb, and Electrode on top of one another. As time has moved on, the requests have evolved into something more outlandish. One of the rocks on Onix’s tail has been expertly replaced with a Geodude who also happens to be juggling an Exeggcute. Even the somewhat illusive and mythical Mew has already been ticked off the list when one fan suggested hiding it in Kangaskhan’s pouch.

The Kanto region is arguably the most iconic area for Pokemon fans and is home to some of the most recognizable monsters in the whole franchise. Despite Game Freak culling the number of Pokemon that can be found in the latest titles, series stalwarts like Pikachu, Magikarp, and Psyduck have appeared in every generation of Pokemon since the series debuted in the 1990s.

Fans are already eager to see how the final version of the 151-in-1 Pokemon creation will turn out, but that’s not all players have to look forward to. The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC is set to release over the coming months as The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk expansions are set to reintroduce more pocket monsters to the Paldea Pokedex by the end of the year.
