A Pokemon fan decided to put their artistic talents to work and created a fusion of the legendary Pokemon Ho-Oh and the upcoming Legendary creature called Terapagos. The fusion art was posted on social media for other Pokemon fans to see.

Originally from the Johto region, Ho-Oh is the legendary Pokemon featured on the cover of 1999's Pokemon Gold for the Game Boy, and its 2010 remake Pokemon HeartGold for the Nintendo DS. As a Fire and Flying dual-type Pokemon, Ho-Oh is based on Eastern depictions of the mythical Phoenix, particularly its power to create life from the ashes. In a Pokemon battle, Ho-Oh can use moves such as Sacred Fire and Burn Up, but the Rainbow Pokemon is currently not available in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. By contrast, little is known about Terapagos, other than its implied role in The Indigo Disk DLC that will release in the winter. Though neither of these mystical Pokemon are available in Paldea at the time of writing, that has not stopped one Pokemon fan artist from creating a fusion of the two.

A Redditor named FillipoDraws created two separate drawings of what would happen if Ho-Oh and Terapagos were fused. The art pieces were posted on the r/pokemon subreddit. Dubbing this fusion "Ter-Oh-Pagos" as a portmanteau of the two Pokemon's names, the OP used Ho-Oh as the main body of their creation, with parts of Terapagos fused onto it. Despite its own type being unknown in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Terapagos' shell has all 18 of the Pokemon type symbols. The shell fragments became feathers that surrounded Ter-Oh-Pagos in a sun-shaped pattern. Terapagos' tail replaced Ho-Oh's tail feathers, and a large crystal from Terapagos' shell was placed on the fused Pokemon's chest.

In addition to a standard color palette, FillipoDraws created a Shiny version of Ter-Oh-Pagos. Drawing inspiration from the game that Ho-Oh debuted, the fan-made Pokemon had a body of gold, with dark feathers to balance out the contrast. The drawings received over 40 upvotes on the r/pokemon subreddit within a few hours. In the comments, Pokemon fans complimented the OP for their colorful Pokemon fusion. While FillipoDraws appreciated the praise, they had to turn down one Redditor that asked if they took requests.

However, the OP said that they may continue to make Pokemon fan art in the future. With Pokemon fan designs of different kinds, ranging from regional variants to fusions, the possibilities are nearly endless for Pokemon fans to express their creativity.
