The recent announcement of the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has many fans excited to see more of the new region and its inhabitants. The new starter trio, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, appear to be especially popular at the moment. Now, one fan has shared a short animation of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet starter trio hatching from eggs to celebrate the new arrivals to the franchise.

Pokemon eggs have been part of the franchise since the very beginning. Leaving two of the same type of Pokemon together at the Pokemon daycare will often result in an egg, though gender and egg groups play an important role. Many players have gone through a lot of trouble to try and hatch strong or shiny Pokemon over the years.

Redditor elanchan shared a short video showcasing the three Pokemon Scarlet and Violet starter Pokemon hatching from adorable eggs. Although most Pokemon eggs simply look like large chicken eggs with various colored patterns on them, this artist has chosen to represent the eggs as resembling the Pokemon inside. The result makes it look almost like the Pokemon are curled up into little balls to disguise themselves as eggs.

In the video, three eggs--or three Pokemon disguised as eggs--are shown lined up in a row. The first one is green with what seem to be cat ears and tufts of fur. The second one is red and white with Fuecoco's crest and square-shaped markings. And the third one is white, featuring Quaxly's mop of blue hair a single blue spot. The three eggs soon hop into the air and transform into the Pokemon Gen 9 starters, beginning with Fuecoco and ending with Quaxly, and begin to wave or wag their tails at the viewer. It appears to be welcoming these three new creatures to the world of Pokemon.

The artist also shared a YouTube version that is slightly longer and features some sound effects. It remains to be seen what Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly's eggs will look like in the final game. Historically, the mainline Pokemon games have shown eggs with more standardized appearances than the anime and spin-off games have. Players will likely have to wait until Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are released and then breed the starters in order to get a good look at their eggs.

Pokemon: Scarlet and Violet are set to release in late 2022.
