Nintendo and The Pokemon Company released Pokemon Gold and Silver back in 1999, and other than revisiting the titles with remakes on the Nintendo DS, Pokemon Gen 2 remains largely ignored. However, one Pokemon fan has decided to celebrate the Legendary dog Pokemon of Gen 2 with unique Eevee fan art that depicts the Pokemon in three different forms.

Twitter user _Kieievui_ recently posted their fan art of Eevee as the three legendary dogs from Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal called Entei, Raikou, and Suicune. These beasts are unleashed on the Johto region once Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal players free them from the Burned Tower in Ecruteak City, and they will swiftly move around the map trying to avoid being caught. However, players will capture a Suicune more easily in Pokemon Crystal and will only have to track down Entei and Raikou as a result, because Ho-oh and Lugia remain stationary.

The Pokemon fan art from _Kieievui_ doesn't simply put Legendary dog costumes on the Eevee they center on, but each form distinctly differs from the other. They properly depict the color scheme of the Legendary beasts, with the Suicune replica being a mixture of white, blue, and purple, Entei providing a different tone with red, yellow, and gray, and the Raikou model standing out in black, purple, and blue. Beyond the base appearance of these Legendary Eevee, the Suicune one includes the diamond pattern familiar to the blue Gen 2 Pokemon, and the Raikou version has a suitable tiger print to it.

Suicune's ribbons are prominently featured in _Kieievui_'s fan art, which also shows the iconic Entei headgear and Raikou's flowing purple curls underneath a secondary set of ears. Each of the Eevee's tails is notably different, but the Entei Eevee has two sets of spikes on either side of its tail to join the other Entei features to make this Legendary Eevee the most similar to the dogs of the three in _Kieievui_'s fan art. Beyond the Legendary dogs in the Gen 2 Pokemon titles, the two primary Legendary Pokemon in the games are Ho-oh and Lugia, but the artist has yet to imagine Eevee as the two Legendary birds.

This isn't the first Pokemon fan art from _Kieievui_ that centers on Eevee as the artist regularly includes the Gen 1 Pokemon in their work. Since they posted the Legendary dog fan art, several Pokemon fans have expressed their enthusiasm for how cute the powerful dogs might have been as Eeveelutions. While some Pokemon players are anticipating a return to Johto in the style of the Let's Go games, it's currently unclear if Nintendo will revisit Gen 2 of Pokemon anytime soon.
