A Pokemon fan created a fusion that combines Duskull and Skarmory with an impressive result. Pokemon is a franchise aimed at a young audience, with stories of overcoming, funny moments, and motivational lessons. Despite this, the Pokemon franchise is also known for having a dark corner.

It is not uncommon to find sad and scary stories, with disturbing moments in the Pokemon manga. The content of Pokemon manga has been toned down quite a bit in the other media, but there are still moments that leave fans stunned. Pokemon Black and White 2's narrative is often remembered in this regard, as it is one of the darkest entries in the franchise due to the themes it addresses. Not to mention the numerous Pokedex entries that make fans go "woah."

Reddit user rc1246 shared fan art that combines Duskull and Skarmory, resulting in a Pokemon with a menacing look and much less friendly than other critters like Pikachu or Chansey. Duskull is a Pokemon that functions as the stylized personification of the Grim Reaper, with its evolution Dusknoir having a horrifying Pokedex entry. The fan art captures this idea well by keeping the Pokemon's body design, especially its creepy look. Skarmory, meanwhile, is a Pokemon known for its fierce nature, to the point of having a rivalry with Corviknight. These traits are captured by giving the fusion Pokemon Skarmory's wings and its red color, the tail, and the triangular crest that the Steel/Flying-type Pokemon has.

The fusion created by rc1246 could make Pokemon fans visualize this new critter as a Steel/Ghost-type Pokemon, something the franchise has only with the Honedge evolutionary line. Because of this combination, it would also not be hard for fans to imagine this Pokemon having access to moves like Confuse Ray, Curse, Steel Wing, and Heavy Slam. This is not the first time fan art has brought two unlikely Pokemon together, creating a third Pokemon with impressive looks. Previously a Pokemon fan combined Litwitck and Kirlia, and the result was a Pokemon that would be able to haunt any trainer's dreams.

The Pokemon community is known for its creativity, and fusions are one of the many ways fans use to show their love for the franchise. These fusions can be funny, or create Pokemon that look like characters from other series. More than that, these pieces of fan art often display ideas that entertain the Pokemon community, with the potential to be officially added to the games or get some sort of spin-off.
