A Pokemon fan decided to use their creativity in order to draw a Ditto in the form of a Steelix, and the outcome of their artistic endeavor is undeniably disturbing, to say the least. With more than a thousand different species of Pokemon present in the franchise, many imaginative fans are interested in creating unique fusion art featuring the beloved pocket monsters. By experimenting with combining the qualities, traits, and aesthetics of two or more Pokemon, artists can create some completely distinctive and intriguing creatures in their original artwork.

One such combination involves the ingenious merging of Ditto and Steelix. Steelix, a serpent-like Pokemon made of rock, first introduced in the game’s second generation, couldn’t be more different in appearance than its counterpart Ditto, a purple, blob-like figure. Ditto itself is perhaps one of the most famous Pokemon in the franchise due to its ability to take any shape imaginable, which makes it a very popular choice for fan art. However, one noteworthy fact is that Ditto cannot change its face during its transformation process.

Reddit user rc1246 designed the rather peculiar Pokemon-inspired artwork involving the fusion of Ditto and Steelix. The combination of Ditto's amorphous shape with Steelix's intimidating stature results in a startling, almost creepy visual experience. The images depict a Steelix-like figure that looks to be covered in a thick pink oozing substance. The figure has a menacing grin and the pink ooze looks to give off an almost fluorescent glow.

The artwork comes in two different versions, one pink and one light purple, but otherwise, no significant differences exist between the two pieces. Attached to the bottom of the gruesome Pokemon, Ditto’s iconic but somewhat melted-looking face can be seen, sporting a slight grin that could be easily described as horrifying.

It is worth mentioning that this is not the only inventive piece created by this particular fan artist, though it may very well be the most nightmarish. On his Reddit profile, rc1246 has posted many more clever Pokemon-inspired fusions, such as Quagsire and Breloom, or even Slugma and Solosis.

After more than two decades as one of the world's largest franchises, Pokemon has now reached its ninth generation of video games, and with it comes a plethora of new pocket monsters. With many new additions to the Pokemon lineup, it will be very interesting to see what other crazy concepts online franchise enthusiasts will come up with.
