Many long-time fans of Pokemon have been hoping for remakes of Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl. These games hold a special place in the hearts of many, with them being the first games of Pokemon's fourth generation.

Although neither Nintendo nor the Pokemon Company have put out any official word regarding revisiting Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl, a Twitter user known as PH Brazil has posted a tweet suggesting they will return this year. PH Brazil has put out accurate Nintendo-related leaks in the past, making this a possible sign of hope.

The tweet's text is only compromised of "Feliz 2021," followed by "Ah" in its second part. What really made the tweet from PH Brazil put people on alert, however, are the images included. Among the five images of various Nintendo properties is a screenshot of Dialga from Pokemon Diamond.

The exact screenshot of Dialga isn't from a Pokemon game, but it is from the Super Smash Brothers stage Spear Pillar. None of the screenshots are from anything new, with them all likely teasing which Nintendo franchises will be getting attention this year.

What makes it likely the teaser is referring to Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl remakes is that Dialga was chosen as the teaser image. For those who haven't played the generation four Pokemon games, Dialga serves as the box art legendary for Pokemon Diamond. Despite the screenshot being from Super Smash Bros., this may have been done so viewers wouldn't think that the teaser was alluding to anything related to Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield.

While this may be exciting news for many, it isn't wise for Sinnoh fans to get their hopes up. There is always a possibility that the leak could be based on false information, or it could be a lie entirely. Other properties that fans greatly want to see more from such as Metroid and the sequel to Breath of the Wild are also shown in the teaser tweet, meaning the "leak" could just be built around what people want to see in 2021 from Nintendo.

Despite leaks often being unreliable, it is likely that gamers will be seeing many exciting things from Nintendo this year. These things may include full releases for games that fans have been clamoring for, or announcements for even bigger hype trains down the line.

Remakes for Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl may be in development for the Nintendo Switch.
