A Pokemon fan carved a Chandelure from a pumpkin for Halloween. Every year, players celebrate the spooky season by etching their favorite characters from various video game titles into the orange fruits. One franchise that gets applied onto pumpkins is Pokemon, as a number of gamers will put their favorite pocket monsters on the gourds every year.

Chandelure is a Ghost/Fire-Type Pokemon that debuted in Generation 5 of the series. It is the final form of Litwick and requires a Dusk Stone in order to be evolved into. The creature was a playable character in the Pokemon fighting game Pokken Tournament, where it served as a Power-type fighter. It was also an in-game trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS as well as a Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

A Reddit user known as nachoslanderer shared an image of a pumpkin that they carved. On the gourd was an image of Chandelure, who glows red and orange. Surrounding the Pokemon is a vine pattern that covers the whole pumpkin, helping fill in the blank space all around the pocket monster. The pumpkin is very impressive and helps celebrate the spooky time of the year by using one of gaming's most beloved franchises.

The pumpkin that nachoslanderer carved has gained a number of fans. One user stated that they wished they could carve pumpkins as impressive as nachoslanderer's, and that it might be the most beautiful etching on one of the squash that they have ever seen. Another commenter said they are super critical of everything, but that they love the piece. When asked what tools were utilized, the carver explained that they used a precision craft knife along with a blackhead scraping tool. Nachoslanderer did an amazing job and is helping Pokemon fans everywhere celebrate Halloween.

Nachoslanderer is not the only one making pumpkins look like Ghost-Type pocket monsters. A Redditor named pizzapiepants painted one of the gourds to look like the Pokemon Ghastly for their work's pumpkin decorating contest. The fruit was painted black and had the creature's iconic face consisting of two slanted eyes and a wide smile with fangs added. Pizzapiepants then surrounded the pumpkin with purple lace, which represents the fog that usually surrounds the Pokemon. As an added bonus, the artist also painted a small pumpkin to look like a Pokeball. Both pizzapiepants and nachoslanderer did great work, showing different ways to prepare a Pokemon pumpkin for Halloween.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will release for the Nintendo Switch on November 18.
