Fans of the Pokemon Trading Card Game have had a busy few weeks. On top of seeing one of the rarest and most expensive cards being sold on ZenPlus, they now have one more reason to look forward to the international release of the Vivid Voltage expansion in November.

According to PokeGuardian, a site dedicated to the popular TCG, the new set will feature a classically designed Pikachu reminiscent of the Pokemon's original design in the late '90s. The Pikachu VMAX card joins the Pikachu V, Orbeetle V, and Orbeetle VMAX cards that are also in the set.

The set will include many other electric-type Pokemon including a base Pikachu. The Giganimax version will be rare, so fans can expect to go through plenty of booster packs to try and get a hold of the card. In the meantime, players have been busy with the Champion's Path Expansion, which released late last week with 15 powerful "Pokemon V" cards, 19 trainer cards, and a new Special Energy.

Meanwhile, Pokemon TCG Online, the digital version of the popular card game, recently introduced a new type of currency used to enter special tournaments. Once enough keys have been accumulated, players can use them to enter tournaments online and compete against others. The new currency has received a positive reception from fans of the game with the feature seen as a much-needed addition.

The Pokemon Card Game Vivid Voltage expansion releases this November.
