Players have spent the last two weeks of Pokemon Cafe Mix rushing to fill orders and scoring a chance to meet the adorable fiery Scorbunny. But starting tomorrow, July 15, PokeBaristas will find the timid Sobble creeping its way into shops for a treat instead.

Players who log on to Pokemon Cafe Mix from July 15 - July 29, 2020 will be able to greet the teary-eyed Sobble as a Special Customer to their cafe. Despite the title "Special Customer," Sobble can be recruited like all other Pokemon customers. Players hoping to recruit Sobble as a cafe employee need only serve the Water-type starter Pokemon five different times (or less, if there's an active friendship bonus). Needless to say, this may mean completing a few irrelevant stages just to shuffle the queue of customers and convince Sobble to show up.

Once a player strengthens their friendship with Sobble five times, they will befriend the sulky chameleon and convince it to lend a hand around the cafe. They can then also complete special challenges related to Sobble, for prizes including valuable Golden Acorns. Sobble marks the second of two new Special Customers introduced to Pokemon Cafe Mix, both of which have been Generation VIII starters. If this trend continues, players can probably expect to be taking orders from Grookey, the Grass-type starter Pokemon, come this August.

Players unable to recruit Sobble before the Special Customer event wraps up on July 29 should simply focus on serving the Water-type starter as many times as possible. Once a player has served Sobble (or any Special Customer) a single time, they will be able to invite it back over for a party. So as long as players have taken Sobble's order once, they'll be able to recruit it via party invites, even after the event's over.

Speaking of which, Pokemon Trainers hoping to recruit Sobble sooner should pay close attention to their party section. If Sobble is available for a party, it's an incredibly easy path to a strong friendship - one invite allows the player to serve a particular Pokemon multiple times in a row. Sobble's particular specialty is yet to be revealed, but its skill is to clear Pokemon icons and gimmicks below. Like Scorbunny, it isn't an extraordinarily overpowered addition, but it can definitely be used to clear some sugar cubes, and also offers a cute alternative to Snubbull.

Players should keep an eye out for the remaining details on Sobble - it begins appearing as Special Customer after 2 AM on July 15, so the secrets won't last much longer. And on a similar note, players should take care to meet Scorbunny before it hops out of line and passes off the Special Customer baton to Sobble.
