Nintendo has revealed the first team event of 2021 coming to Pokemon Cafe Mix. The event is named "Chansey's Happiness," and it will run from January 12 through January 26, featuring a "happiness-carrying Chansey" visiting player's cafes. If Pokemon Cafe Mix players can keep it happy enough, Chansey will even stay and join their staff.
At the same time, the "Special Customer" event is going on in Pokemon Cafe Mix. Pokemon Sword and Shield starters Scorbunny, Grookey, and Sobble are available for players to add to their staff for a limited time. Scorbunny's event is currently live in Pokemon Cafe Mix, while Sobble's will start on January 3, and Grookey's will begin on January 8. Fans of the newest generation of starters will not want to miss this event.
The free Switch and mobile game has offered regular updates and a new twist on spending time with Pokemon. When the game hit five million downloads, Nintendo released a free Pokemon Cafe Mix gift of 5,000 golden acorns. This latest event news will surely have many players excited about the future of the game, and guessing which of their favorite Pokemon could be coming in the future.
Pokemon Cafe Mix is a little different than normal entries in the series, as it is more of a puzzle game. Nintendo has introduced team events to allow players to help each other reach more difficult goals, including a Snorlax-themed event back in September. The "Chansey's Happiness" event seems to be the latest update from Nintendo, intended to continue adding content to the free-to-play Pokemon title.
