The official Pokemon Cafe Mix Twitter account has confirmed the upcoming introduction of new stages, alongside several new recruitable Pokemon.

The recently released puzzle game has Pokemon Trainers trading in their adventuring gear for an apron and serving delicious cafe treats to Pokemon customers. New "Orders," which function as stages in Pokemon Cafe Mix, are scheduled to be added to the game on Wednesday, July 22, so players can also expect to see new Pokemon visiting their cafe.

Although the tweet doesn't specify which new Pokemon players will find at their cafes, the accompanying image of Bellossom and Exeggutor has fans sure of their arrival. Similarly, there is no set number of new Orders to be introduced. The tweet simply states that new Orders are set to be added on July 22, and then invites players who have completed all existing Orders to take a shot at the new "puzzle challenges."

This latest addition to the palette of Pokemon games has been relatively well-received, especially in light of the fact it's free-to-play. Fans of the wildly popular series took poorly to recent announcements of an upcoming MOBA game, Pokemon Unite, so the developers are surely a bit relieved to have players welcome this new touch-based puzzle game. The game has steadily introduced new Orders and Pokemon for players to enjoy since release, presumably to keep the game feeling constantly fresh.

Most recently, players had a chance to recruit Scorbunny and Sobble as Cafe Staff during their respective Special Customer events. That being said, several other Pokemon, such as Lucario, have been introduced to the game via standard updates. If Bellossom and Exeggutor join the fun, it would bring the game's roster of unlockable Pokemon to twenty-four, including several variations of Pikachu.

Some have criticized how few of the 890-total Pokemon are in the game, as if there are enough Pokemon to inspire real food dishes, there are enough Pokemon to inspire playable characters. Thankfully, the game has been quick to introduce new characters and appease some of these disgruntled fans, but the fact still remains that it wouldn't be all too difficult to give players a few more starting options.

Hopefully, with some time, the game will find its ideal rhythm and fans can continue to enjoy its simple yet complex gameplay with a slightly larger pool of Pokemon options. And though Pokemon Cafe Mix is fun and lighthearted, it's admittedly unconventional insofar as Pokemon games - Pokemon Trainers who want to shake it up without thinking about lattes might want to sneak a peek at something like Pokemon Masters instead.

Pokemon Cafe Mix is available now on the App Store, Google Play, and Switch.
