Build-A-Bear Workshop has made a reputation for itself of not just making toys for children, but also creating stuffed animals based on pop culture phenomena that even adult fans go wild for. The latest in this line up of amazing furry friends is Mew from Pokemon, the first ever mythical Pokemon and one of the stars of the first generation. Alongside the Mew stuffed animals, players can also get a few adorable accessories to go with it, and all at a relatively affordable price. This might be a limited offer, so interested fans should purchase it sooner rather than later.

Pokemon has partnered with Build-A-Bear Workshop before, so this collaboration doesn't come out of nowhere, but in the past it has been with Pokemon such as Pikachu or Eevee. Though it may not be quite as iconic as Pikachu, Mew is a very important Pokemon in the world's lore and a classic example of generation one pokemon that started a trend.

On its own, the Mew plushie costs just $29, but it comes as part of an online exclusive bundle. When purchasing the Mew bundle online, fans will also receive a Mew Cape, a Master Ball Hoodie, and the Mew 5-in-1 sound insert. Each piece of clothing is valued at $12.50, while the sound pack is listed at $7. Altogether, that makes the price of this Mew bundle just $61 before taxes and shipping. Of course, buyers may end up paying more if they add other accessories, a fancy delivery box, or even other Pokemon plushies, but these aren't required.

In general, fans seem to love the design, hailing its cuteness above all else. Unfortunately, the plush is online only it only ships to the US at the moment (though other Pokemon plushies ship elsewhere), so anyone outside of that country will have to wait until it reaches their region as well. In terms of shipping options, the standard choices apply but fans can opt to do in store pick up if they prefer that method. Build-A-Bear Workshop does make a point to say that shipping times may be delayed due to issues caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, however.

Although Build-A-Bear Pokemon collectors may initially be disappointed by the news that the Mew stuffed animal is only available in the US, there is still a sliver of hope that it will be made available internationally. Notably, the announcement tweet revealing Mew says "Currently US Only," indicating that this may change in the near future. For now the best thing to do is just be patient.

Pokemon Mew plushies are available from Build-A-Bear Workshop now.
