Jirachi and Mew are two of the most iconic Legendary Pokemon out there, and both of them have been very hard to obtain throughout the Pokemon series. However, in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl, trainers can obtain both of these special Pokemon by speaking to two certain NPCs. Still, players will need to show them proof that they are indeed Pokemon fans.

And by showing them proof, it means that players will only be able to get Jirachi and Mew by having saved game data from previous Pokemon titles: Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu and Pokemon: Let's Go Eevee, and Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield.

Where to Find Jirachi and Mew in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl

The two characters that Pokemon players need to speak with reside in the small town of Floaroma, which is between Route 204 and Route 205. The location is marked on the map below for readers to see.

To the left of the town's Pokemon Center, players will see an elderly couple standing in a field of different colored flowers. If players speak to the man, he will give them a Jirachi, but only if they have saved data from Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield. And, if trainers speak to the older woman, they will get a Mew from her, but only if they have saved data from either of the Pokemon: Let's Go games.

If players have a full party of Pokemon, then they can choose to exchange one of their slots with the newly acquired Mythical Pokemon or just send them straight to the box. With Jirachi being a Steel/Psychic-type Pokemon and Mew being a pure Psychic Pokemon, these two pocket monsters can be a great asset to any team needing a powerful psychic user to combat Fighting or Poison types.

It's also worth noting that Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl players cannot obtain these two Pokemon from the old couple again. So, if someone trades or releases their Mew or Jirachi, they won't be able to get them again in-game.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl are available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
