While Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl are remakes within the current 8th generation of Pokemon, there are still some classic evolution methods that players will need to use to evolve certain monsters, like Graveler, for example. Graveler is Rock/Ground-type Pokemon introduced in the Kanto region with Pokemon Red/Blue. While it has many weaknesses that can destroy it in battle, it is still resistant to Rock, Electric, Fire, Normal, Poison, and Flying-type moves.

Where to Catch Graveler

Before players can evolve Graveler into a Golem, they will need to catch one first or evolve it from a Geodude. Geodude evolves to Graveler at level 25 and can be found at places like Route 206, Route 207, Route 210, Route 211, Oreburgh Gate, and Mt. Coronet. It's a pretty common Pokemon, so players shouldn't have issues locating one to level up. As for Graveler itself, here are the best places to look based on spawn percentage:

  • Iron Island B1F (Left and Right Cave) - 69% chance of Graveler appearing
  • Iron Island B2F Right Cave - 49%
  • Iron Island B2F Left Cave - 39%
  • Iron Island B3F - 39%
  • Mt. Coronet - Top Cave - 40%
  • Mt Coronet (Floors 1-7) - 20%

To have the best chance at catching a wild Graveler, Pokemon trainers should opt for Ultra Balls or Dusk Balls (if trying to catch it at night or in a dark cave like Mt. Coronet or the Iron Island caves .

How to Evolve Graveler into Golem in Pokemon BDSP

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Golem

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl players only have one way to evolve their Graveler into Golem, and that's by trading it to another player. There's a list of Pokemon that only evolve through trading in BDSP, and Graveler is one of them. Unfortunately, there is no way to trade the NPCs in the game to acquire Golem, as players will need to trade Graveler first and then have the other player trade it back after it evolves. Players will need to find a trustworthy person to trade online with; otherwise, Graveler will never evolve in-game, even if players end up training it to its highest level.

How to Trade Pokemon Online

Pokemon BDSP players will need to get the first badge before gaining access to the Local and Global Clubs in the Pokemon Center. The room upstairs leads to the Local Club, and the escalator going downstairs leads to the Global Club. Make sure both players input the same Link Code, and then players can start interacting with each other to battle or trade.
