Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl players will have a lot of new Pokemon to discover once they defeat the Elite Four and its Champion, and receive the National Dex from Professor Rowan. Unlocking the National Dex requires players to see every single Pokemon in the Sinnoh Pokedex, which can pretty much be accomplished by fighting most trainers throughout the main story.

Once trainers unlock the National Dex, they need to speak to Dawn/Lucas in Sandgem Town. They will mention that their little sister, who lives in Sandgem Town, knows about Pokemon Swarms. After speaking to her, Pokemon Swarms will become available for trainers to find. And players won't need to speak to the sister to see where the swarms are, as they will appear daily in the main menu and will change out every day.

How to Catch Swarm Pokemon in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

pokemon-bdsp-swarms-1

Once players make it to the Swarm location, they should immediately see the Pokemon popping up in the overworld in multiples. If trainers attempt to touch any of the Pokemon to go into a battle, it won't seem to work. However, to catch one of the Swarm Pokemon, players don't need to physically touch the Pokemon; they can just capture it normally from the tall grass, but there's still a chance for other Pokemon to appear.

To make it easier to catch Swarm Pokemon, PokemonBDSP players should use a Repel item to keep away stragglers and use the Poke Rader item.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl are now available for the Nintendo Switch.
