Buizel is a Water-type Pokemon that was first introduced in the fourth generation of Pokemon. The Sea Weasel pocket monster is back in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and trainers can get the Pokemon in both versions. There are a couple of places where players can find a Buizel, and this guide will go over that. Where to Find Buizel in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
Buizel can be found in these locations in both Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl:
- Route 205 (35% chance of encountering one)
- Route 213 (30% chance)
- Route 224 (4% chance)
- Valley Windworks (35% chance)
- Grand Underground (In the Fountainspring Cave, Riverbank Cave, and Still-Water Cavern
How to Enter the Grand Underground in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
In order to gain access to the new Grand Underground area in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, players will first have to go to Eterna City, which is the location of the second Gym in the Sinnoh region where trainers will fight Gardenia. In the house to the right of the Pokemon Center, players will find an old man in the middle of the room. Speak to him, and he will give players the Explorer Kit. This lets gamers go to the Grand Underground to mine for materials, create a base, or catch unique Pokemon, like Buizel, for example. However, the kit can only be used outdoors.
If players want to search for a Buizel underground, they will need to run around until they find an area with any of these titles: Fountainspring Cave, Riverbank Cave, and Still-Water Cavern. In these areas, players won't have any random encounters, but the wild Pokemon can be seen running around the room, so touching them will start an encounter.

In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Buizel will evolve into Floatzel upon reaching level 26. Before evolving into Floatzel, Buizel can learn moves such as Swift at level 21 and Aqua Jet at 24. Floatzel, on the other hand, will learn Whirlpool at 35, Waterfall at 41, and even Aqua Tail at 46.
