Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are here, allowing fans to enjoy a sense of nostalgia while reliving the experience of Generation 4 games. New players who didn't get to play Pokemon Diamond and Pearl are now exploring the region of Sinnoh for the first time ever, which Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl portray very faithfully. Even though the Generation 4 remakes are missing features from Pokemon Platinum, the games are still quite rich in content thanks to the revamped Grand Underground and Contests, as well as other features.

The games are not flawless, however, and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl players have been encountering odd issues and soft locks of all sorts during their playthroughs. Among them, one that's worth noting is that Drifloon in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl only appears through a time-gated event, and players who don't answer correctly at the Hearthome Gym have no way to see the Pokemon and access post-game content for a week.

Another issue has been reported on Reddit by a user called MiseDawg, who was accidentally trapped behind two NPCs in Veilstone prior to attaining the local Gym Badge and the Fly HM. This happened near NPCs in the city that also happen to have a Stunky roaming around, and the Pokemon pushed MiseDawg behind the NPCs through a glitch. The player tried delving into the Grand Underground and wiping their team in order to respawn at a Pokemon Center, but Roark healed the team in the Underground instead, thus leaving MiseDawg stuck on the surface.

Fellow Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl players suggested using an Abra with Teleport or trying to catch a Ralts with Teleport in the Underground, but neither is an option because the player lacks an Abra, and Ralts' level is too high to come with Teleport. Because most of these solutions won't work in this specific case, another Redditor shared a very useful tip for situations like this, as players can reboot the game and head to the start screen, then press UP, X, and B at the same time to recover a previous save.

Still, this is not the only weird glitch that can occur in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and players should pay attention to when and where they hit save, but also watch out for the auto-save feature. Yet, if anything similar happens, there is also the option to reach out to Nintendo about it.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are available now on Switch.
