  • More Pokemon titles may be announced next year, including remakes for Pokemon Black and White and a Pokemon Legends Unova game.
  • A Pokemon Legends Unova game would allow Game Freak to explain a mystery from Pokemon Legends: Arceus and feature the exclusive Enamorus creature.
  • Enamorus, a powerful and unique critter, is currently only available in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, indicating that new Gen 5 games may be coming.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's season is still in full force after the release of The Teal Mask DLC and with another expansion coming in the next few months, but if the same pattern for past releases is to be assumed for future games, more Pokemon titles may be announced next year. One of the most likely options seems to be remakes for Pokemon Black and White, as Gen 4 was given this treatment last, and Gen 5 is the next in line. Another title that many players would like to see happen is a Pokemon Legends Unova game, as it would be a good way to bring back the loved Pokemon Legends: Arceus formula while giving Gen 5 its time in the limelight - and the biggest clue for this may have already dropped.

Although recent leaks hint at Pokemon Black and White 3 happening over remakes or a Pokemon Legends sequel for the Unova region, this would ultimately be the most sensible option in the context of modern games. Not only would a Pokemon Legends Unova game have the perfect mascot in the form of the Original Dragon, a sort of fusion between Zekrom, Reshiram, and Kyurem, but it would also give Game Freak the chance to explain a big mystery from Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus Can't be The Only Game Where Enamorus is Available

Pokemon Legends: Arceus' Enamorus is not only a powerful critter to have on any team, competitive or not, but it is also quite unique. Enamorus is part of Pokemon Black and White's genie trio known as Forces of Nature, but it wasn't in the original games, and instead, players can only get it in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, making it the fourth member of the group and the one controlling the love and hate sphere of life.

The fact that Enamorus was added is not exactly a first, and Pokemon games in the past did add to past evolutionary lines or even took a different route for existing critters, such as Galarian Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos. However, what is peculiar is that Pokemon Legends: Arceus is not a mainline game, and Enamorus is currently only available there. Barring a special 7-star Tera Raid in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet where Enamorus is the protagonist, it would make sense for Game Freak to release a Pokemon Legends Unova game or some sort of Gen 5 follow-up title next and include it alongside the other Forces of Nature.

Seeing how Enamorus has been prominent in the competitive scene and how well received it was in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, the fact that it isn't available anywhere else may be the biggest sign that new Pokemon Gen 5 games are coming next. In fact, Pokemon Legends: Arceus was the first time that entirely new creatures were added to a spin-off and not made available outside of it, and while Pokemon Home's connection with Scarlet and Violet is live, Enamorus is still unavailable for most players. Right now, the only way to get it in Gen 9 is to catch it in Pokemon Legends: Arceus and transfer it via Pokemon Home.

As such, a Pokemon Legends Unova game could kill two birds with one stone by both featuring Enamorus and giving players an entirely new Gen 5 game that isn't a regular remake, even if it means pushing remakes out of the equation entirely. Regardless of what Game Freak's next Pokemon games will be, it's almost guaranteed that they will feature Enamorus in some capacity, even more so if they are from the mainline series. Otherwise, this Fairy/Flying critter could be trapped in Pokemon Legends: Arceus for a long while.
