While Pokemon fans often debate which games are the best, which generation has the more unique designs of Pokemon, and plenty of other things to do with the franchise, something that often appears online is the general consensus that Pokemon Black and White number among the series' best entries. While much of the fan base is currently focused on the upcoming release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, one fan has journeyed back to the 2010 titles to find an interesting detail about them.

User MyNameFuego on Reddit recently posted a meme to the platform that shows a funny detail about Pokemon Black and White and their sequels. In all the games set in the Unova region, there are four huge bridges that the player can walk across. These aren't regular bridges either. As fans pointed out in the comments, the bridges featuring in the Unova region all have long animations and 3D graphics which were impressive at the time of Pokemon Black and White's release.

Even with Pokemon graphics looking much better now that the games are being released on the Nintendo Switch, fans still appreciate the bridges of Pokemon Black and White for other reasons. Further on in the comments of MyNameFuego's post, Pokemon players were fondly remembering the times they spent on Skyarrow bridge in particular, with the soundtrack of that location being particularly impressive. Some expressed their frustrations with the bridges in the Unova region, as one fan stated their annoyance at the fact that every time they tried to cross a bridge, they all seemed to be conveniently under construction or repair.

For many, not being able to cross over into another part of a Pokemon game before a bridge has been fixed or a Snorlax has been moved is a critical part of the linear experience in the games. While it can be frustrating at times for a player to be unable to go where they want to go, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's open world could fix that problem, allowing fans to journey wherever they want without restrictions for the first time in the franchise.

While Game Freak's focus is currently placed on the upcoming release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, there are a lot of fans who would like a return to the Unova region at some point. This could take the form of a remake, similar to the 3D versions of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, or fans could see the Unova region return through a Pokemon Legends title, exploring the origin of the setting and its legendaries.

Pokemon Black and White are available on Nintendo DS.
