Despite the 25th anniversary of the Pokemon franchise still a number of months away, it seems that The Pokemon Company is planning some kind of an announcement as early as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which could ultimately reveal exciting information about future Pokemon games.

Although no major announcements have been made on any Pokemon social media platforms, The Pokemon Company sent out an official press release regarding plans for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. According to the information provided within the press release, Pikachu will be making an appearance via a massive parade balloon, which shouldn't come as a big surprise because the Pokemon mascot has been appearing at the parade for 20 years now. However, one new detail found in the press release is that Pikachu will be joined by a troupe of dancing Pikachu and that there will be a "special announcement" made at the parade.

It is not exactly known what the announcement is going to deal with. For instance, The Pokemon Company might end up sharing new details and information about one of its officially announced games like Pokemon Unite or PokemonSnap. On the other hand, the announcement could end up being something extremely unique like an official confirmation for Pokemon Diamond and Pearl remakes which Pokemon fans have been asking for some time now. Still, the announcement could be anything, meaning that it's best to not get one's hopes up and simply watch the parade for the entertainment aspect.

Hypothetically speaking, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl remakes announcement would most likely blow the roof and set the Pokemon community on fire. For one, there have been many rumors surrounding the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl remakes, and fans are hoping that The Pokemon Company ends up announcing the remakes as soon as possible. Furthermore, some players believe that the content found within Pokemon Sword and Shield's Crown Tundra DLC is a good indicator for Pokemon Diamond and Pearl remakes, and that the remakes themselves are not some kind of hoax. Nonetheless, it would still be for the best to wait (or hope) for an official announcement.

One final thing that is worth mentioning is that Pokemon's 25th anniversary is only a few months apart from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade celebration. What that means is that plans for Pokemon's 25th anniversary could be announced, and what The Pokemon Company plans to do as part of the anniversary's celebrations. In a way, the Thanksgiving Day parade announcement could end up being just another announcement but for the actual anniversary. Ultimately, Pokemon fans should keep their eyes and ears on the parade as see what will end up happening.

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day will air on NBC on November 26th, 2020.
