An artist and dedicated Pokemon fan has created three new Eeveelutions. For Pokemon fan artists, Eevee and its various forms are generally popular subjects likely due to the uniqueness of the character and its evolution process.

Eevee is distinct in that it can completely change type when it evolves. The First-Generation Pokemon is a Normal-Type creature, but it can become a Water, Electric, Fire, Dark, Psychic, Ice, Grass, or Fairy-Type depending on what it evolves into. With The Pokemon Company occasionally creating new evolutions of Eevee, many fans like to imagine and speculate what the next Eeveelution could be.

Reddit user ShugaWentWrong did just that by creating three new Eeveelutions and sharing them with the community. The imaginative artist illustrated what Eevee might look like if it evolved into a Psychic, Bug, and Poison-Type Pokemon. The Bug-Type Motheon stands out as a favorite among the comments, as its cute design stands up to some of the best Eevee evolutions.

Not only did they design each of these fan-created Pokemon, but they also created evolution requirements for each of the Eeveelutions. According to the artist, Eevee evolves into Veneon, the Poison-Type Pokemon, after it survives being poisoned in battle; Eevee instead evolves into Motheon after 1000 steps in flowers; lastly, Eevee can evolve into the Dragon-Type Wyvereon after reaching level 45 and holding what looks to be a Dragon Scale.

Perhaps just as impressive as the designs themselves is the attention to detail that went into the naming and evolution requirements. Eevee is also unique in that each of its eight evolutions requires a different prerequisite before transforming. Some evolve after receiving a certain item, some after reaching a level of happiness, and even the time of day and the moves Eevee knows factor into the equation. Like the Pokemon fan who created alternate Delphox forms, this artist cleverly takes franchise lore into consideration with their various creations.

One of the most satisfying forms of fan art from the Pokemon community is when an artist creates something entirely new based on an existing character. Perhaps this is why Eevee is such a popular subject for redesigns. There are already plenty of examples of official Eeveelutions in the franchise, giving talented artists like this a sort of template to go off of and create from. Fans have constantly been wondering if there will be more Eeveelutions after Sylveon, the most recent addition, so hopefully, creations like this will inspire The Pokemon Company to introduce more in future games.
