PlayStation had a strong November, both in terms of its essential PlayStation Plus lineup and new releases. Not only did PS Plus subscribers get to experience the excellent Nioh 2, but the long awaited God of War Ragnarok made its debut on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 last month. Both these games, as well as other titles, feature their share of memorable Trophies.

Though PlayStation fans may be more interested in collecting the harder Trophies from November’s games, or breezing through some of the easy Trophy shovelware that appeared on the PlayStation Store throughout the month, gamers looking for a laugh are in luck as well. Only one of November’s new releases has a fully comedic Trophy list, but there are a few entertaining ones worth pointing out in other games.

Funniest Trophies in November 2022’s Essential PS Plus Games

While Nioh 2’s challenging gameplay ensures that it has some of November’s most difficult Trophies, it also has a few achievements with funny titles. “Dungball Roller” has players giving 30 Dungballs to a character named Ryunojo the Dung Lover, and the item is exactly what it sounds like. While players around the world were grossed out by Dung Eater in Elden Ring, Team Ninja beat FromSoftware to the punch with its own excrement-related character. For fans of word play, “Grazer Eraser,” “Feather Buster,” and “Fuse it or Lose it” are all fun achievements.

Alongside Nioh 2, Heavenly Bodies and The LEGO Harry Potter Collection were available for free, both of which boast some humorous Trophies. “Greetings, Viewers” sees Heavenly Bodies players filming themselves with the camera, while “A Minor Incident” has them causing an explosive decompression from the airlock. Fans of the Wizarding World will get to unlock “Quiet Please!” in LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4 for turning all the sound off while in the library, and “Role Reversal” sees players defeating Voldemort as Harry while in the Graveyard.

LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7 continues the fun with the cleverly named “A Sirius Family Issue,” as Bellatrix has to be defeated with Sirius Black. However, it is LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4 that has the funniest Trophy out of November’s PlayStation Plus games. By taking control of Severus Snape and hiding inside a barrel, players will unlock the “Solid Snape” Trophy. An obvious homage to the video game icon Solid Snake and his box-sneaking antics, this achievement is sure to put a smile on the face of Metal Gear Solid fans.

Goat Simulator 3 sticky goat tongue

Obviously, when it comes to November’s big releases, God of War Ragnarok is a game that must be mentioned. Though “Grave Mistake” is a decent pun about the Berserker Gravestones, and “Full Body” pokes fun at the Idunn Apples Kratos seemingly eats, one Trophy stands out among the rest. For completing two standout side quests in Alfheim that feature large jellyfish called Hafgufa, players will acquire the Trophy “Full Gufa.” A great way to joke about the pronunciation of the creature’s name, and acknowledge how the two Hafgufas come together as one, players will likely get a laugh when the notification pops up on their screen.

While Sonic Frontiers’ Trophy list was fairly by the books, there was one other November release that was filled with hilarious Trophies. The meme-filled Goat Simulator 3 tasks players with running naked on a football field for “Streaking,” becoming an egg for “Egg Simulator,” and licking a banana while wearing the banana-themed Abominana skin to unlock “Cannibanana.” Indiana Jones and Baywatch references are present in the list as well, as is an homage to Detroit: Become Human called “San Angora: Become Human.”

“Real Buoy” is a punny nod to Pinnochio, as players have to be devoured by a whale, and Matrix fans will appreciate the “Into The Matrix” Trophy, which sees players visiting the train station from Revelations. To even reach this point, goats will need the purity ring from a Lord of the Rings homage called “Dilbo’s Journey,” which sees them visiting a Hobbit Hole and Mount Doom. Lastly, the Trophy “[REDACTED]” deserves a shoutout, as it is Goat Simulator 3 at its most absurd. To unlock it, PlayStation users have to complete a variety of tasks to become an eggplant.
