It appears that PlayStation players are in luck as deals continue to emerge over on the PlayStation Store. A few days ago, Sony launched the Essential Picks Sale, offering hundreds of PS4 and PS5 games with savings of as much as 75% off.
Headlining the deals at the PlayStation Store's Essential Picks Sale is Battlefield 2042. While it is no secret that many players were disappointed with Battlefield 2042, the 20% discount that PlayStation Store is offering may be a good incentive for players to try out the game. Unfortunately, it is worth mentioning that only the Ultimate and Gold Editions of the game are discounted, with the former available for $95.99 from $119.99 and the latter at $74.99 from $99.99. The Standard edition remains at full price.
Luckily for players, the PlayStation Store's Essential Picks Sale offers hundreds of games across various genres. The store is also currently offering a 25% discount on Life is Strange: True Colors - Ultimate Edition, dropping its price from $79.99 to $59.99 for both the PS4 and PS5. In addition, apart from single-player games, tons of discounted multiplayer titles are available such as Dead by Daylight ($11.99), Among Us ($3.99), and more.
Lastly, the PlayStation Store's Essential Picks Sale also includes tons of DLCs, expansion packs, and special editions for players to choose from. Dead by Daylight fans would probably want to pick up the Resident Evil Chapter, which adds Nemesis, Leon Kennedy, and Jill Valentine. Dead by Daylight's Resident Evil Chapter is available for $8.39 or 30% off its original price of $11.99 for PS4 and PS5. Other popular DLCs include Civilization 6's New Frontier Pass, Dead by Daylight's Halloween Chapter, Just Cause 4's Expansion Pass, alongside many others.
It is worth noting that the massive discounts offered by the Essential Picks Sale will only be available until March 16, 2022. The Essential Picks Sale launched shortly after the Big in Japan and Games Under $15 sale, both of which are still available at the PlayStation Store right now. Similar to Essential Picks, the Big in Japan Sale offers up to 75% off, but with Japanese-made or themed games such as Monster Hunter World, Nier: Automata, Judgment, The Evil Within, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, and more. Additionally, the Big in Japan Sale is only going to be available until March 9, 2022, while Games Under $15 will close its doors on March 16, 2022.
