PlayStation's fans have anxiously been waiting for news on Sony's plans for mid and late-2022. Their patience was rewarded recently with the announcement of a new PlayStation State of Play event, which will air today, Wednesday, at 2:00 PM PT. The show will focus on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 game updates, reveals, and announcements, and will last around 20 minutes. All that's left is for PlayStation fans to make sure they don't miss the show, so here are all of the ways that the State of Play can be watched.

The official streams for today's PlayStation State of Play will include just two sources, Twitch, and YouTube. Sony tends to prefer keeping its audiences centralized, which is why social media platform streaming isn't included in the State of Play today. The show will be presented live across both Twitch and YouTube, though it's obviously a pre-recorded presentation.

For those looking for a more catered experience, the PlayStation State of Play is going to be open for co-streaming and content creators. That means that Twitch and YouTube streamers are welcome to watch the show live on their channels. Sony does warn co-streamers regarding copyrighted music that is out of its control, though. Co-streamers will have to take responsibility for any potential copyright claims against their stream or VODs. That's unlikely to stop many streamers, though.

As for what PlayStation fans can expect at the show, little has been officially confirmed. In fact, more is known about what's not going to be shown than what is. Sony has confirmed that there won't be any hardware announcements made during the State of Play. With that in mind, the PlayStation VR2 won't be featured and neither will any official PS VR2 game releases. The show will focus entirely on PS4 and PS5 games.

The one hint that Sony does provide is that there will be a special focus on games coming from Japanese publishers. That's certain to stir up speculation regarding Square Enix and Final Fantasy 16, but is more likely to mean Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, or games from Bandai Namco, Capcom, and Sega.

Sony's March State of Play officially begins Wednesday at 2:00 PM PT/5:00 PM ET/10:00 PM BST. It'll stream for 20 minutes via PlayStation's official channels on Twitch and YouTube, focusing solely on PS4 and PS5 games. Expect some major announcements and reveals, but also for Sony to keep some of its bigger PlayStation announcements for late 2022 until this summer.
