With Nintendo recently holding its Digital Deals promotion in celebration of E3 and rumors pointing to Steam holding its annual Summer Sale this week, PlayStation players are likely wondering when they'll be able to snag some huge discounts. Luckily, it seems Sony has just started a sale filled with reductions on essential titles, launching its Mid-Year Deals promotion today on the PlayStation Store.

The sale will run from now until July 7 at 11:59 PM PT and comes loaded with discounts on an array of recent gems. Included in the lineup are Outriders, which will set players back $38.99, Persona 5 Royal, which has been discounted to $26.99 (or $44.99 for the Ultimate Edition), and Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, which is listed for $35.99.

EA's recently released Knockout City has also seen a reduction, with its standard version coming in at $14.99 and its Deluxe Edition costing $22.49. Considering the game launched just over a month ago, it's sure to attract some new players wanting to get in on its multiplayer dodgeball action. Players prepping for Madden NFL 22 can also hop into Madden NFL 21 for a lower entry fee, with the sports game being reduced to $19.79. Continuing EA's additions to the sale, FIFA 21 has also been knocked down, falling from $79.99 to $23.99.

As for some other notable discounts, this year's Hood: Outlaws and Legends can be purchased for $23.99, while Mortal Kombat 11 and its subsequent Aftermath expansion are available for $14.99 and $15.99 respectively. Those wanting even more Mortal Kombat 11 content can pick up its two Kombat Packs, with the first costing $7.99 and the second coming in at $5.99. Having both will net players characters like The Terminator, Rambo, Mileena, Shang Tsung, The Joker, Nightwolf, and Spawn. Some other DLCs available at discounted prices are Fallout 4's Season Pass, which costs $24.99, and Control's Foundation and AWE expansions, which are $4.99 each.

Those wanting to grab something without breaking the bank will also find a lot of cheap deals, as the sale features plenty of games below the $10 price point. Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition is just $9.99 and comes complete with all the additional DLC released for the game, while Detroit: Become Human is available for the same price. Yakuza 3, 4, and 5's remastered ports are also up for $9.99, while The Sims 4, Alien Isolation, Just Cause 3 XXL Edition, and Dead Rising 2 can all be acquired for $5.99.

The sale itself is sure to have something for everyone and can be accessed from a PlayStation console or via Sony's website. Players also still have over a week to redeem their free PS Plus games for June, which include Operation: Tango, Star Wars Squadrons, and Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown.

PlayStation's Mid-Year Deals promotion will run from June 23 to July 7.
