As the PlayStation 5 enters into the second full year of its life, the console has already seen tons of big-name exclusive titles release throughout the end of 2020 and 2021. The PS5 has seen major new entries in popular franchises like Demon's Souls and the next chapter of the critically acclaimed Final Fantasy 7 Remake saga with plenty more like God of War: Ragnarok and Horizon: Forbidden West on the horizon. Now, Sony's London studio looks to be developing a brand-new exclusive title for the popular console. While the London-based development studio hasn't developed many of the console's biggest franchises in-house, PlayStation Studio London often lends assistance to the company's main development studios, assisting with some of the PS3 era's big-name titles like Killzone and LittleBigPlanet. The studio has developed several of Sony's side titles taking advantage of the PlayStation's many peripherals throughout the years, creating both the SingStar and EyePet series among others. London Studio's Blood and Truth was praised on release for how the game pushed the boundaries of PlayStation VR, and now the UK-based studio is taking on its next big project.RELATED: PlayStation App to Get Major UpgradePlayStation's London Studio announced through its Twitter on Wednesday that it was hiring a brand new team to work on an upcoming multiplayer game. The studio expressed its excitement for the upcoming project and the desire to get new hires in to work on the mystery title from its beginnings. The tweet also featured a link to a hiring page for London Studio looking for a variety of positions ranging from lead character artists and level designers to lead programmers and producers. While little information was shared about the details of the game, both the tweet and job listings heavily emphasize the online aspect.

Rumors have persisted around the studio's newest project for months as previous job listings have given an inkling about what the game may pertain. A previous job listing from London Studio had listed experience with combat design as well as co-op gameplay as qualities the studio was looking for, leading many fans to believe the project will likely be an action game that will feature both local and online co-op.

A new project from PlayStation's London Studio will join a massive list of highly-anticipated titles set to arrive exclusively to the PS5 within the coming years. Square Enix had previously confirmed Final Fantasy 16 as a PlayStation exclusive and, along with the previously mentioned God of War and Horizon, Bethesda's highly-anticipated Ghostwire: Tokyo is expected to arrive in 2022 as a PS5 exclusive and Gran Turismo 7 is set to launch in March. PlayStation fans have plenty on the horizon to look forward to and a new project from London Studio just adds to that excitement.
