10 PlayStation 5 Smart Delivery (False)
Most of the PC games are customizable when it comes to the visuals and performance. Meaning if someone has a better rig, that person can run the same game with higher settings. This is what smart delivery on consoles essentially means. Microsoft has already showcased this as one of the main features of Series X. People can now buy a game once, similar to computers, and then use the same copy of the game to play on the old or new console seamlessly. This feature was rumored to be on PS4 as well but has been denied.

This is why a lot of people were waiting for the price to appear during the console reveal. The rumors were that PS5 would be revealed to cost around $800 USD, which is almost double the amount of a PS4. This, however, is still not confirmed, as the price was not hinted during the event. Most rumors now suggest the PS5 will cost around $400-500 USD based on the model.
7 PS5 Design Will Be Similar To PSVR (True)
Design and aesthetics have always been a critical factor when it comes to Sony's console. Ever since the original PlayStation, Sony has come up with memorable concepts for their consoles. This is why the PlayStation 5 design was expected to be just as significant.

6 PS5 Will Have A Handheld Component Like Nintendo Switch (False)
Since Switch is trendy, people were expecting PlayStation 5 to launch with a handheld component, just to compete with Nintendo. Rumors suggested a handheld device which will work like a new controller or a separate handheld console. Both of which were untrue, as Sony's current focus seems to be on building a real next-gen console. This is why the PS5 was showcased with just a dual sense controller and a sound, camera, and remote accessory—keeping things simple for the gamers so that they can focus on the games instead.
5 PS5 Will Be Disc Less (True)
Sony's PlayStation 5 was rumored to be disc-less, which obviously isn't true. But it isn't exactly false either. Sony has surprisingly gone into building two kinds of consoles. One is a standard PlayStation 5 system, with a Blu-ray disc drive, while the other one is a Digital Only edition. This is a great move, as a lot of people who love collecting physical copies of the game will still be able to maintain their collection until the end of the PS5 era. In comparison, a lot of gamers who are okay with digital games will be able to afford the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, without paying for a disc drive they probably won't use.
4 PS5 Leaked Design Concept (False)
PlayStation 5 had a unique design. Some people call it incredibly futuristic, while others say it is an internet modem. Looks will always be subjective, but most of us would agree that it is still much better than the setup box look of the leaked concept.
Before the reveal, pictures of a PS5 console were leaked online, which were slightly retro in terms of the design. These designs were later rumored to be the developer kit for PlayStation 5. Luckily, it was not the final design of the console.
3 Horizon Zero Dawn Sequel Will Be On PS5 Only (True)

2 Grand Theft Auto 6 Will Be Revealed For PS5 (False)
Almost everyone was fooled when the Rockstar Games logo popped up in the first trailer during the event. But this was mostly because of the rumors beforehand. Believe it or not, people were expecting Grand Theft Auto VI to show up at the PS5 reveal event. Sadly, it was not valid. Instead, a GTA V trailer footage was shown after the logo, officially confirming that Grand Theft Auto V and Online will be coming to PlayStation 5 with up-to-date visuals and enhancements.
1 Demon's Souls Remaster/Remake Is Under Development For PS5 (True)
Here is the granddaddy rumor that turned out to be true. A Demon's Souls remake or sequel was rumored to be in work for PS5. The trailer made its way somewhere in between the PS5 reveal event, which confirmed the rumor. The Demon's Souls Remake is under work and will be launched exclusively on PS5. The remake is being developed by Bluepoint Games, who are responsible for building the Shadow of the Colossus Remake on PS4. Knowing how good that turned out, it is safe to say Demon's Souls is in safe hands.
