The Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise was a splendid series of movies that was entertaining for both young and old viewers. The best thing about the movies is that they never get too old to watch and can be watched repeatedly.

Currently, there is a lot of talk and rumors about a new Pirates Of The Caribbean movie and while that's definitely going to be exciting, fans are still going to have to wait to find out about the progress with the next movie. While we wait, we still have these memes to remind us about some of our favorite scenes and moments in the franchise.

10 Swords Have To Clash First!

This meme is reminiscent of the less than pleasant time Jack, Will, Elizabeth and Norrington had at Isla Cruces. After finding the heart of Davy Jones, a fight ensues between Jack and friends along with Davy Jones' crewmen from The Flying Dutchman. After an overly hilarious fight, Captain Jack Sparrow ends up putting the heart inside a jar of dirt he received from Tia Dalma and the jar becomes "his precious."

9 Temptation Is A Bad Thing

As the fight ensued over possession of the heart of Davy Jones, Ragetti explains the situation to Pintel who was wondering why they started fighting all of a sudden. The meme captures exactly what was said in the scene, but what makes it funny is attempting to picture the scene as it unfolds. Their fight led to Pintel and Ragetti deciding to "remove temptation" from their midst and they made away with the chest. But not without Elizabeth spotting them.

8 In Case Anyone Was In Doubt

This is a sad and funny reminder that the covid-19 pandemic is still rampant. When the pandemic started, a lot of people really didn't believe that they were about to live in times of trouble and unrest so this meme is a wake up for them.

The various looks on Elizabeth's face as the situation she was in began to unravel are simply priceless. Especially when Hector Barbossa drank his rum and she watched it pour all over his rib cage.

7 More Rum Always Does The Trick.

image of Captain Jack holding a bottle of rum with the caption "if rum can't fix it, you're not using enough rum"

This sounds like something Jack Sparrow would say. Pirates simply cannot do without a bottle of rum. If there's a problem, the solution can't not include rum. If only our everyday problems can be solved with a bit of liquor, then the world would be a better but rowdy place. Hopefully rowdiness is a good thing. Captain Jack Sparrow is usually cautious around Elizabeth out of fear that she might get rid of his precious rum.

6 So Who's The Grand Architect?

image of Jack, Elizabeth and Barbossa looking left with the caption "if you want to see the grand architect of your betrayal, look to your left"

More often than not, Jack is up to no good. After selling out the brethren court in order to save his own skin, a negotiation takes place to determine the future of the battle between Becket, Davy Jones and the pirates. There, Becket reveals that it wasn't Will that led the navy to Shipwreck Cove but Jack. That moment when Jack swiftly denies this is simply hilarious.

5 Someone's In Denial Again

an image of Barbossa saying, "Isla de muerta, remember? you shot me" Jack responds "no i didn't"

Jack is hardly known for telling the truth, so much so that even when he does tell the truth, his comrades find it hard to believe him. How can one not remember shooting someone?

It will not be surprising if Jack forgets that he himself died somewhere along the way. Talk about a short term memory. If only disputes could be resolved by simply being in denial, the world would be an easier place to live in.

4 There's Never Been A More Accurate Description

a split image of jack sparrow peeping from a bunch of leaves and jack sparrow running from a horde of pursuers

This is the nightmare of gamers that play open world games. A good example of this is Assassin's Creed. As always, sneaking in is one thing and sneaking out is another. One wrong move and the authorities will be all over that player in a matter of seconds. If one does manage to escape from their grasps, it looks a little something like this. And the worst part is that so long as they can see you, they will never stop chasing after you.

3 Proud Pirates

split image of jack and gibbs shaking hands with the caption, when i accidentally drop my wallet and the coins fall out, every 5th grader in a 10 meter radius: "take what you can and give nothing back"

This is a saying that all fans of the franchise have become very fond of. When one thinks about it, the entire aim of being a pirate is summarized in these few words. If a pirate sees what he/she likes, they should take it. If the owner wants it back they might as well try and pry it from the pirate's cold, dead hands. A pirate can easily justify his actions in a theft by using these magic words.

2 That Entire Scene In A Nutshell

Image of a news reporter and a man running away behind him with the caption, "Norrington" (ie the news reporter) "will and jack with the interceptor" (ie the man running away)

This meme captures what happened in th movie almost entirely. While Commodore Norrington was busy doing his Commodore stuff, Will and Jack hijacked the Dauntless, with the idea that they would be pursued with the interceptor. The plan works and after the navy had caught up with the Dauntless and boarded it, Will and Jack quietly slipped onto the interceptor and made their get-away. Brilliant!

1 Yup! Blame Politics

image of politicians having a brawl and elizabeth says "this is madness!" Jack replies "this is politics"

Madness, politics, they're all one and the same. This meme features a real fight amongst real politicians and that just goes to show that fighting during gatherings is not limited to barbarians. The fight that broke out during the brethren court was mostly hilarious because the pirates had a real problem on their hands and what did they do? They started breaking bottles on each others' heads. Quite the "political" move there fellas.
