While the overarching task of Pikmin 4 is to rescue the beloved Captain Olimar, most players would know that completing that task doesn't even come close to achieving a 100% completion rate in the game. Just like its predecessors, the latest entry in the series will house a collection of treasures to find, Castaways to rescue, and onions to add to the collection.
With several huge levels for players to traverse, it can be a difficult task to keep track of everything that requires the player's attention. For those hoping to fully explore the Sun-Speckled Terrace level in Pikmin 4 and grab everything there is, this guide is here to help.
All Treasures, Onions, & Rescues in Sun-Speckled Terrace
In total, players are looking at 7 Rescues, 34 Treasures, and 4 Onions for this starting level. The Pikmin that are required to do everything will be the Red, Yellow, and Ice Pikmin. Starting off with just the Red Pikmin, players will eventually gain access to both the Ice and Yellow Pikmin.
The guide will be broken into distinct parts, with one section covering the surface world and then others diving into the different caves found on the level.
Surface World
Top-right quadrant
- Treasure - Aspiration-Ritual Ball: Head northeast from the starting point, and use Oatchi to rush the wall and knock the Treasure down.
- Treasure - Lesser Mock Bottom: Go around the left and get up the slope. Break the pots to find the elusive Treasure.
- Onion: Loop around to find this onion is a broken pot in the northern central area. Use Yellow Pikmin to reach it.
- Treasure - Temporal Mechanism: Now go south, and spot this one hanging on the fence. Rush the fence to bring it down.
- Treasure - Double Dragon-Eyed Scope: Proceed past the fence and further south, and beside the cave entrance will be this Treasure on the planter.
- Treasure - Sunseed Berry: From the nearby cave entrance, just below it will be the Treasure on top of a planter.
Bottom-right quadrant
- Treasure - Orb of Destruction: Go all the way to the southeast, and charge up Oatchi's rush to bring down the Treasure.
Top-left quadrant
- Treasure - Talisman of Life (Moon): Head to the very top of the slopes in this area and defeat the giant enemy here for it to drop this Treasure.
- Treasure - Fire-Breathing Feast: Now go to the end of the path and drop a level, and double back to find this Treasure that can only be reached by Yellow Pikmin.
- Treasure - Snack Bean: Head back the other way and get down to the flower pot just below the platform. Look for the aiming reticle to appear, and use the Pikmin to dig this up.
Bottom-left quadrant
- Treasure - Satellite Shield: Head west from the first base location to find this Treasure buried in the dirt. Use Yellow Pikmin to solve the problem.
- Treasure - Mysterious Carriage: In the southwesternmost corner, use Yellow Pikmin to bring the bridge down to gain access to this Treasure.
- Onion: From the previous location, bring the Pikmin north and turn the corner. Flatten the paper bag with enough Pikmin to find the Onion.
- Treasure - Perforated Raft x 2: From the Onion, progress forward to the left and break the pots found here. There will be two Treasures that will then appear.
- Onion: This area will only be accessible once players have enough capacity to bring 30 Ice Pikmin and have more to spare. Freeze the body of water, build the climbing wall, and dig up the Onion to add to the collection.
Dandori Day Care & Trial Run
- Rescue x 2: Completing both the Dandori Day Care and Trial Run Challenges will see players bring home two more Castaways.
Caves in Sun-Speckled Terrace
Last-Frost Cavern
- Treasure - Director of Destiny: Found on a broken pot directly in front of the arrival point, knock it done using Oatchi's Rush.
- Treasure - Refreshing Goo: Located just to the south of the Onion, seek it out within the purple bushes.
- Onion - Yellow: Found in the northwest corner, simply dig it up and have the Pikmin transport it.
- Rescue - Russ: Destroy the frozen obstacles in the southwest corner and defeat the enemies in the area to find Russ the scientist.
Industrial Maze
Sublevel 1
- Treasure - Memory Fragment (Top Right): Located towards the west side of the map, just behind some bars.
- Treasure - Personal Injury Plank: Once players have looped around the map and are behind the bars near the initial area, use Yellow Pikmin to reach the Treasure up high.
Sublevel 2
- Treasure - Stately Rubber Cutie: Head north from the entrance to find this Treasure hidden in breakable pots.
- Treasure - Detective's Truth Seeker: From the previous Treasure, head west and then south to find this particular Treasure.
- Treasure - Unlimited Locomotive: Head to the northwest corner and begin digging to unearth this new addition.
- Rescue: Just to the east of the previous Treasure will be a Castaway; use Yellow Pikmin to reach the platform.
Hectic Hollows
Sublevel 1
- Treasure - Mama Doll Head: In the next area, upon arriving in the cave, use the Ice Pikmin to freeze the water to get to the Treasure.
- Treasure - Empty Vase: Go past the exit of the sublevel and head south to the corner to locate this find.
Sublevel 2
- Treasure - Aspiration-Ritual Pole: Once the coast is clear, find the hydrojelly on top of a can. Freeze it using Ice Pikmin before destroying it. Get on top and use any Pikmin to bring down the Treasure.
- Rescue - Kingsly: To the right of the first Treasure, use Oatchi to rush and bring down the Castaway.
Crackling Cauldron
Sublevel 1
- Treasure - Deceptive Snack: From the entrance, head east to find this Treasure hidden within a broken pot.
- Treasure - Illumination Goo: Just south of the previous find, dig up the Treasure with Yellow Pikmin.
- Treasure - Dusty Bed: Continue on the path around, and this Treasure will be hanging on a web. Push down the paper bag, loop around to the left to the elevated platform, and use the Pikmin to bring it down.
Sublevel 2
- Treasure - Daughter of the Earth: Use the Red Pikmin to destroy the stone structures to cool off the area before picking this up.
- Treasure - Cookie of Nibbled Circles: Head into the next room and throw Yellow Pikmin to grab this.
- Treasure - S.S. Chocolate: Same area as the last Treasure.
- Rescue: Go to the other end of the map to find this Castaway, which can be reached using Yellow Pikmin.
Aquiferous Summit
Sublevel 1
- Treasure - Talisman of Life (Crane): Just the one Treasure, freeze the water with Ice Pikmin, and then retrieve it.
Sublevel 2
- Treasure - Memory Fragment (Top Left): Quite hard to miss; look for it in an alcove in the central northern part of the map.
- Treasure - Skin of the Phoenix: Now head west, and from the elevated rock, throw Pikmin of any color to bring it down.
- Rescue - Dalmo: Go near the exit to find a hydrojelly. Freeze and destroy it to find the Castaway.
