Pikmin 3 Deluxe is one of the latest Wii U games to get ported to the Switch, and it’s one that Nintendo fans don’t want to miss out on. Despite underwhelming sales reports from some areas around the world, Pikmin 3 Deluxe topped charts in Japan during the game’s first release week.
While there is a bunch of new content in Pikmin 3 Deluxe compared to its original Wii U release, much of the original has remained the same. One of the things that have remained the same is the location of Pikmin 3 Deluxe’s suit upgrades, including the Anti-Electrifier suit which guards against electric attacks that can stun players.
Where is the Anti-Electrifier Suit?
There are plenty of destinations that players will visit over the course of their journey through the game. One of those destinations is called the Distant Tundra, which is where the Anti-Electrifier suit is. Specifically, the Distant Tundra is the third main area players will visit in Pikmin 3 Deluxe after reuniting with the second party member, Brittany, in the Garden of Hope. Players are going to have to progress a bit further into the game before they can obtain this suit upgrade.
Thankfully, there is no set number of days in Pikmin 3 Deluxe, so players can reach the Distant Tundra at their own pace. Additionally, they really shouldn’t need to worry about bee-lining to the Anti-Electrifier suit upgrade. While it is a helpful upgrade to have, players shouldn’t feel the need to jeopardize their Pikmin count by scrambling to get it fast.
Unlocking the Anti-Electrifier Suit
The Anti-Electrifier suit is accessible during the early portion of the Distant Tundra, provided players maximize their time well. The first thing players need to do is rebuild the main red and blue tile bridge separating Alph and Brittany. Naturally, this is going to requite a lot of switching between Pikmin 3's two characters to collect the tiles scattered around their respective starting areas. Once the bridge is rebuilt, players should head down the sloping path next to where Brittany landed and head towards the electric gate.
Players will need Yellow Pikmin to break through the electric gate. After doing so, they will need to climb up the slope in the area and roll the 20 lb weight down the hill using a certain number of Pikmin to open a cave. This task only needs one captain, so if players want to throw any additional Pikmin partners to have them do other tasks, they should. After lighting up the cave with Yellow Pikmin, players can make their way through the cave.
After making their way through the cave, players will exit to the area where Charlie crash landed. Next, players will have to fight an Armored Cannon Larva. After doing so, players need to throw Pikmin at the bulge in the snow. Doing so will have the Pikmin dig up the Anti-Electrifier suit upgrade. Simply have the Pikmin deliver it back to the S.S. Drake to acquire the upgrade.
