The Persona JRPG series has recently been making waves online with official announcements that its different titles are being released on a variety of platforms. Atlus announced that Persona 3, 4, and 5 will be making it way to Windows, Xbox, Playstation 4 and 5, and Steam. Recently, the recent June 2022 Nintendo Direct confirmed that these titles will also be released on the Nintendo Switch. The fanbase is likely very excited, and one particular fan has showcased their hype by designing Persona-themed Switch Joy-Cons to celebrate the announcements.

Though many in the Persona community were disappointed in the lack of major game announcements for the Persona 25th anniversary, the news of launching three titles on different platforms is likely a welcome surprise for the fanbase. Now, gamers can choose whichever platform they prefer to finally play the JRPGs. With more players gaining access to these different titles, the amount of fan art and original content will likely surge when Persona 3, 4, and 5 are released on their respective launch dates.

On the Persona Reddit thread, user ravenpotter3 has expressed their excitement about the release of the Persona series for the Nintendo Switch by designing Joy-Cons based on the games. In the image they shared, they seem to have based the left Joy-Con's color scheme after Teddy, while the right Joy-Con seems to be inspired by the color scheme of Morgana. Most fans will know these as the mascot characters from Persona 4 and Persona 5.

Fellow Redditors seem to like ravenpotter3's take on Persona-themed Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons, though one comment expressed their interest in seeing a Joy-Con design based on Koromaru from Persona 3. Though Persona 3 does not have its own "mascot" character, Koromaru seems to serve that purpose for the JRPG, often appearing in official Persona merchandise and events in cuter forms. Likely hit by nostalgia, another Redditor also lamented that they miss the days when companies would make official custom controllers based on video game releases, stating that special controller designs were everywhere back in the day.

Nevertheless, custom designs and original fan art such as these will only likely be the start. Now that the Persona series is releasing three of its most popular titles across a variety of gaming platforms, many within the fanbase will likely be inspired to create. Hopefully Atlus will also be encouraged to make themed items specifically for each release. Fans will probably appreciate official merchandise that they can add to their Persona collection.
