According to the latest leaks, Persona 6 could be "further away" than previously expected. Persona 5 was a massive success that took the JRPG franchise to new heights, and so hype is incredibly high for the next installment in the long-running series.

Even though Persona 5 first released all the way back in 2016, there have been no substantial updates on Persona 6, with most of the information about the game coming from leaks and rumors. Major Persona events have come and gone without any real mention of Persona 6, leaving fans in the dark about Atlus' plans for the next installment in the critically-acclaimed, award-winning franchise.

Unfortunately, it seems like fans may be waiting even longer than expected to learn about Persona 6, let alone play the game for themselves. According to leaker I'm A Hero Too, Persona 6 is "a bit further away" than expected. The leaker doesn't think that Persona 6 will release in 2024, meaning fans shouldn't expect the game until 2025 at the earliest. If true, this means that it will be nearly a decade since Persona 5's launch by the time Persona 6 hits store shelves.

Persona 5 Tactica

Besides updating fans on Persona 6's potential release window, the leaker also revealed that the game's main theme is "black and white," though some parts "still look Green in the gills." The leaker also teased that there are more Persona-related games in development besides Persona 6 and the other remakes and spin-offs that have already been revealed to the public.

If the leak is to be believed, a new Persona party game is in the works. There have been a wide variety of Persona spin-off games over the years of varying quality, so time will tell if this new Persona party game lives up to expectations. Of course, that's assuming that the game even exists. As always, fans should be skeptical of this leaked information and wait for an official announcement from Atlus before getting too excited about any potential Persona projects.

While these Persona leaks may or may not be real, fans of the franchise have plenty to look forward to regardless. Persona 5 Tactica is releasing this November, while the Persona 3 remake drops early next year. There should be no shortage of Persona games to play while franchise fans wait for more information on Persona 6 and the rumored party game spin-off.

Persona 6 is rumored to be in development.
