Atlus's upcoming tactical RPG Persona 5 Tactica is hosting a free live concert for fans very soon, but there's a catch on how prospective audience members can get tickets to the show. With the release of Persona 5 Tactica coming in a few months, this is probably one of the many ways that the development team is building the player base's excitement for the game's launch.

There is no doubt that Persona 5 is one of the most popular titles in the franchise. Atlus has developed many Persona 5 spin-off video games over the years, taking its story and the Phantom Thieves characters across different genres such as hack-and-slash with Persona 5 Strikers, rhythm through Dancing in Starlight, and now, tactical RPG with Persona 5 Tactica. The company even has the mobile genre covered through The Phantom X, which is currently still in development. Now that Tactica's release is looming closer, Atlus is likely seeking to build more interest in the title through the announcement of the free live concert.

Sharing the news on Twitter, Persona 5 Tactica is holding a free concert featuring the songs from the tactical RPG. However, the performance is happening for only one day in Japan on October 4, 2023. What's more, fans will only be able to watch the show by winning one of 150 tickets through the event's lottery system. The free concert will feature six songs from the video game, and will have special guests like Persona 5 vocalist Lyn Inaizumi, Atlus sound composer Toshiki Konishi, and Persona Live band members as part of the performance. Atlus's goal is to record the activity and likely distribute the recordings later on for the public to purchase and enjoy.

The Persona franchise has a prolific history of hosting pop-up collaborations and events exclusive to Japan, so this concert is not a new concept from Atlus. With a series of Japan-only concerts featuring Persona music being held over the years, it is not surprising that the team is hosting one to celebrate the release of Persona 5 Tactica, too. However, the parameters of gaining access to the concert are limited and random, so fans who are not based in the region may find it difficult to be part of the event's live audience.

Fortunately, global fans only have to wait until Atlus makes the concert's recording public. It is likely that by that time, they have already fully enjoyed the features of Persona 5 Tactica, and will appreciate the soundtracks played during the concert more thoroughly.

Persona 5 Tactica will be released on November 17, 2023, for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
