The Major Arcana that is known as Strength in Persona 5 Royal embodies values and traits much like the same-named card in tarot decks: physical prowess, courage, and unmatched resolve. Personas of this arcana indeed share these traits as well, often (though not always) taking the forms of brave heroes and mighty warriors from the cultures and faiths of the real world.

Aptly, they usually come with physically-oriented skills and traits that are ideal for beating down foes brutally and efficiently. However, be sure to bring some party members capable of healing, for active physical skills in P5R use HP much like how magical ones use SP.

10 Kelpie

the horse-like spirit from the strength arcana.
  • Cheapest Fusion Recipe: Arsene and Mokoi
  • Money Required: ¥6,175

This shoreside fiend from Celtic mythology was known to tempt children to try and ride them, only for the would-be cavaliers to discover that the spirit's ethereal flesh was as sticky as tar, adhering them to the spectral equine as it pulls them beneath the waves.

Though, since they are a level 6 persona, their skills and stats don't really do the myth justice. They are capable of some lightly damaging physical attacks, as well as a couple of buffs, but Kelpie is a persona more meant to be a component for better recipes later on. They can be fused from Arsene and Mokoi for ¥6,175.

9 Shiisaa

the legendary beast from japanese mythology as a persona from the strength arcana.
  • Cheapest Fusion Recipe: Genbu and Saki Mitama
  • Money Required: ¥8,227

This quadripedal guardian spirit is one that is said to defend people from evil spirits and destruction. Originally from Japanese mythology, statues of their likeness can be found all over the island nation. They can punish foes early on at level 15 with physical skills that dish out light and medium damage to adversaries.

They also have the lightly impactful Nuclear skill Frei for a bit of variety on the offense. Shiisaa the guardian beast can be fused from Genbu and Saki Mitama for ¥8,227.

8 Oni

red demon from japanese mythology as a strength arcana persona.
  • Cheapest Fusion Recipe: Orobas and Ame-no-Uzume
  • Money Required: ¥20,440

A powerful red demon from Japanese mythology that excels in violence. They are often depicted wielding huge and sinister weapons like spiked clubs, greatswords, or wide-headed spears. Their persona incarnation is a great level 20 summon if one needs a dominant physical force in the early game.

They possess moderately damaging physical and Gun skills for an HP-fueled offense and also has a passive one that grants a 10% chance to reflect all physical attacks they receive. They can be attained by merging Orobas and Ame-no-Uzume for ¥20,440.

7 Rakshasa

warrior from hindu mythology as a strength arcana persona.
  • Cheapest Fusion Recipe: Jikokuten and Shiki-Ouji
  • Money Required: ¥31,150

Rakshasa is an evil spirit from eastern faiths said to eat spoiled food as well as human flesh for one of the most hideous supernatural diets ever. They are often depicted acting more as magical entities than warriors with blades in the ancient tales of their origin, so their appearance wielding two swords is a bit odd.

However, this level 24 persona proves it can use those melee weapons with some decent physical attacks as well as possessing an Attack buff. They can be formed from Jikokuten and Shiki-Ouji for ¥31,150.

6 Orlov

treasure demon as a jewel spirit and a persona in the strength arcana.
  • Cheapest Fusion Recipe: N/A
  • Money Required: N/A

This massive 190-carat diamond was placed into the scepter of a Russian Count, Grigory Grigorievich Orlov, for whom it has since been named. This jewel-dwelling spirit can unleash moderately damaging attacks from all elements except the rare Almighty-type.

Like all treasure demons in P5R, they cannot be obtained by fusing other Personas. The only way to acquire one is to stumble across them in Mementos or while raiding a palace.

5 Zouchouten

deity from buddhist mythology and strength arcana persona.
  • Cheapest Fusion Recipe: Choronzon and Phoenix
  • Money Required: ¥43,543

This mighty deity from the mythologies of multiple eastern religions is renowned for his prowess in arms and feats of strength. He often is depicted wielding an impressive blade or a deadly polearm. As one would expect, Zouchouten is capable of many physical skills that involve striking the same foes multiple times.

For some versatility, he also has the Zionga Electric skill to moderately shock a few foes. At level 31, this burly protector can be fused from Choronzon and Phoenix for ¥43,543.

4 Valkyrie

the female warriors from norse mythology as a strength arcana persona.
  • Cheapest Fusion Recipe: Lilim and Neko Shogun
  • Money Required: ¥64,054

Mighty mounted maidens who decide which warriors live and die on the battlefield take appropriate form in P5R. They serve Odin and prepare the souls of the valiant dead for Ragnarok, the apocalypse in Norse mythology.

the monkey god from hindu mythology as a strength arcana persona.
  • Cheapest Fusion Recipe: Fortuna and Kushinada
  • Money Required: ¥120,142

A mighty deity from Hindu mythology, Hanuman is said to have the power to change into anything and to become any size as well as fly and possess tremendous physical strength. Their Persona 5 Royal appearance is a level 64 powerhouse with physical attacks that strike all foes multiple times.

Their passive skill Regeneration 3 heals them for 6% of their full health each turn for a great way to recover precious hit points without spending a turn to use a support skill. This great god can be called forth by offering Fortuna and Kushinada at the cost of ¥120,142.

2 Chimera

mythical creature from greek folklore. A persona from the strength arcana.
  • Cheapest Fusion Recipe: Atavaka and Forneus
  • Money Required: ¥241,660

Possessing the fierce head of a lion, the stalwart head of a goat, and a tail that is a venomous serpent, the Greco-Roman Chimera is a legendary beast most would never want to make enemies with. Appropriately for their triple-existence, they can unleash heavy physical, Fire, and Ice attacks that make them a one-Persona demolition team that can take on almost any threat.

In addition to already doing great magical damage, they can increase it even more by leveling up and learning passive skills that automatically boost Fire and Ice attacks. At level 74, this hybrid monster can be fused by merging Atavaka and Forneus for the price of ¥241,660.

1 Zaou-Gongen

a god from buddhist mythology as a persona from the strength arcana.
  • Cheapest Fusion Recipe: Surt and Atavaka
  • Money Required: ¥323,020

This Buddhist god is one of the most powerful, for they are the protector of many mountains that link the land to the sky. He protects the realm from evil and shrines to him can be found in various high places of Japan. In addition to being able to deal severe Fire damage and colossal physical damage to enemies, Zaou-Gongen possesses the Undying Fury trait that boosts physical skills by a significant 30%.

At level 80, this persona can only be acquired if the player has maxed out their relationship level with the twin jailers Caroline and Justine. Following this, all the player needs are the personas Surt and Atavaka as well as ¥323,020.
