When players reach rank 4 of the Justice confidant in Persona 5 Royal, one of the rewards they get is access to the Jazz Jin in Kichijoji. The jazz club is only available at night, but when Joker has some free time he can invite a party member to spend time together to get some permanent stat boosts and skills.

While players of Persona 5 Royal may want to spend their evenings on tasks like boosting nighttime confidant ranks, they shouldn't overlook the benefits of visiting the jazz club. Not only does a night at the club give a party member a major stat boost, these boosts can persist between games.

How To Use the Jazz Club

Persona 5 Royal Jazz Club

As mentioned above, players must first reach Justice 4 to unlock the jazz club. While Joker can walk to the Jazz Jin's location at any time after Kichijoji unlocks (it's the piano icon in the northeast corner), he'll only consider going inside after Akechi invites him in. This is similar to how Joker can check out the gym in Shibuya but will only train there after Ryuji suggests visiting during the Chariot 5 event.

Once the jazz club is available, players can interact with it at night. Morgana will read the sign with the day's special cocktail on it (the game makes it clear that Joker and his companions will be drinking a non-alcoholic version), then Joker can invite a party member to spend the evening together and must pay a 3,000 yen cover charge to get in. Aside from the bonuses listed below, this event will boost Joker's relationship with the party member by 1 point, plus an extra 1 if Joker has a Persona with a matching Arcana.

What the Jazz Club Offers

Persona 5 Royal Jazz Club Singer

After spending the evening at the club together, the party member Joker invites will get a boost to their Persona. The nature of the boost depends on the day of the week, and the sign by the door offers some hints about what this boost is.

Power Fizz and Magic Fizz each give +1 to the listed stats along with an extra +1 given to one of the three stats at random. This means they add +4 stat points per visit. Omni Fizz doesn't provide this extra point, but it does add +1 to all five stats and a small bonus to HP and SP.

A Saturday visit doesn't let players choose between the other drinks. Instead, Saturdays rotate through all the other drinks week by week, which means the 7/4 drink is Monday's Mightini, the 7/12 drink is Tuesday's Power Fizz, and so on.

Every Sunday at the Jazz Jin offers a unique drink that can give the invited party member a new skill. Here's the schedule:

The exception to this list is Futaba, since she's the team navigator and doesn't get normal skills. Instead, taking Futaba to the Jazz Jin on Sundays gives her a special set of support skills. Keep in mind that these skills stack with each other and are always learned in order.

Something else to note is that the Jazz Jin has a live singer who shows up once per week. If Joker invites a party member to the club on a night with live music, the effects of the day's cocktail will double. For instance, a Mightini will give 2 levels and 40 HP, and a Magic Fizz adds a total of 8 stat points. The live singer never shows up on Sundays, so party members won't get two skills for the price of one, but her schedule is always the same on every playthrough:

Now here's the biggest reason to visit the jazz club: Jazz Jin boosts carry over into New Game Plus. If players invite Ryuji to the Jazz Jin on Tuesday ten times, then during New Game Plus Captain Kidd will start with 40 more points in Strength, Endurance, and Luck than normal (or even more if some of the nights featured live music). If a party member gets a skill from a Sunday visit, they can get it back at any point in a New Game Plus by visiting the Kanda church (aside from Futaba, who must relearn the Support skills from Jazz Jin visits each time).

Persona 5 Royal is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
