Persona 5 Royal features five social stats for its main protagonist Joker to improve as the game progresses, each representing a different aspect of his personality and capabilities. The Knowledge stat is fairly self-explanatory in name and function, being representative of Joker's book smarts and general knowledge, and this guide will explain how to improve the stat.
Persona 5 Royal is a JRPG developed by Atlas and published by Sega. After being charged with a crime he didn't commit and forced to change schools, the protagonist stumbles into the "Metaverse," a world formed by human cognition, and awakens to the power of Persona. Using this new power and accompanied by his friends, Joker forms the "Phantom Thieves of Hearts" and resolves to steal the twisted and distorted desires of humanity via the Metaverse.
Daily Life
There are several ways to consistently improve Joker's knowledge on any given day. The most reliably available method is studying at LeBlanc, the Diner, or the School Library. Studying at the Diner is more effective when it is raining as it is quieter (+2 normally, +3 when Raining). Studying at LeBlanc is also boosted by the rain, and the School Library remains the same regardless of the weather but is less effective before Kamoshida leaves the school (due to distraction from students whispering about Joker).
In the evenings, Hifumi Togo's Confidant allows Joker to play shogi with her which increases his knowledge, though players do not gain access to her Confidant until 6/25. If Joker acquires a book that increases knowledge from either of the two bookshops or the school library, he can read at the counter in LeBlanc or on the train if he gets a seat as another way of increasing knowledge.
School Questions and Crosswords
Joker also has regular opportunities to improve his knowledge by correctly answering questions in class, and can answer a quiz question on the TV in LeBlanc each Wednesday for a further boost. A crossword puzzle can also be found in LeBlanc at regular intervals, which can be completed to earn extra knowledge without spending any of Joker's precious time.
While failing the Big Bang Burger challenge will only grant a boost to Guts, succeeding at the challenge will grant Joker a boost to knowledge, along with proficiency, guts, and charm. Watching certain movies can also raise knowledge and, sometimes, drinking juice on a Sunday at the Shibuya Underground Walkway will boost knowledge too.
