Persona 5 Royal’s Fusion system is a key feature of the game that is present in nearly all titles of the Shin Megami Tensei franchise. This robust system allows the protagonist to create new and powerful Personas to aid them in their battles by combining Personas they have befriended or previously fused. There are over 250 Personas to collect in Persona 5 Royal, though the player is limited to carrying just 12 at any time. Each Persona user has an ultimate Persona they can summon, which is typically their most powerful persona and will feature a unique skill. Personas can be recruited via battles and also created by the game's Fusion system.

Alice is one of the ultimate Personas that can only be created through Fusion in Persona 5 Royal. Alice is not tied to any of the Phantom Thieves, the main characters of the game, and is instead associated with one of the game's most favored confidants. Read on to learn how to fuse this incredibly powerful demonic ally in Persona 5 Royal.

Requirements to Fuse Alice in Persona 5 Royal

persona 5 alice

Alice is the ultimate Persona of the Death Arcana in Persona 5 Royal and is very obviously inspired by the Alice in Wonderland character. She is obtainable only through the game’s Fusion system in the Velvet Room. She can only be fused when the player is able to create Personas at level 83 or higher, which requires either leveling the protagonist to this level or increasing confidence with Persona 5's Velvet Room jailers, Justine and Caroline.

Additionally, the Alice Persona cannot be fused until the protagonist has maxed Persona 5 Royal's Death confidant, Tae Takemi. The protagonist will first encounter the back-alley doctor Takemi at her medical clinic in Yongen-Jaya, where he’ll assist her with some rather questionable experiments. The player can raise confidence with the doctor by completing her various requests and conversations as they progress through the game.

How to Fuse the Alice Persona in Persona 5 Royal

Alice, the Ultimate Persona of Death, is created through a Special Fusion of two Devil-type Personas: Belial and Nebiros.

  • Belial (Devil) can be fused as a level 82 Persona from a variety of combinations available in the Velvet Room’s Fusion system. He can also be befriended via negotiation in Maruki's Palace.
  • Nebiros (Devil) can be found as a Shadow in Niijima’s Palace and in the Depths of Mementos and must be befriended via negotiation.

Once these two Personas have been obtained, the player has maxed confidence with Tae Takemi and has reached level 83 or are otherwise able to fuse Personas of this level, the player should head to Persona 5 R's Velvet Room. Once there, the player can select either Normal Fusion, in which they select two specific Personas to fuse, or Fuse by Result, which will show which Personas can be fused based on the personas currently held. Fusing is the only way to get Alice, and either method will yield this powerful Persona as long as the requirements are met.

Alice is level 83 when fused and resists Psy (Psychokinesis) and Nuke (Nuclear) elemental abilities, is Weak to Bless (formerly Light), and reflects Curse (formerly Dark) damage. She starts with the powerful skill Maeigaon which deals substantial Curse damage and can learn Persona 5 Royal's strongest Almighty skill Megidolaon at level 86.

Her unique skill is Die For Me!, learned at level 81, which is of the strongest Curse-type attacks and has a high chance of instantly killing all foes. She also has the innate SP reduction trait Die Already!, which has a chance to reduce the cost of her Die For Me! skill to zero. Her ability set, along with this accompanying trait, make her one of the most powerful non-DLC Personas in Persona 5 Royal and one the player will definitely want to fuse.

Persona 5 Royal is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
