When Joker arrives in Leblanc on the first day of Persona 5 Royal, the storage room he gets for a bedroom is a dusty mess. To even get the game started, Joker must clean part of the room up.
However, day one isn't the only time when players will have the opportunity to clean Leblanc in Persona 5 Royal. Joker's room needs another good cleaning to finish the job he starts on 4/9, and players can repeatedly clean the Leblanc dining room to get stat and relationship points. This guide will explain exactly how players can do all three tasks and leave the café sparkling.
How to Clean Joker's Room
When Joker first arrives in his new room on 4/9, he'll refuse to go to sleep or go anywhere until after he cleans the place up some. To get this process started, players will need to examine several of the piles of junk around the edges of the room. After looking at two or three piles, a dialog box will appear and give players the chance to clean the room and move the story forward. Players can also keep looking around at the rest of the junk piles, and the choice will pop up each time.
To finish cleaning Joker's room, players will need to spend a free nighttime action. The first chance to do so is on 4/18. By doing this, players will get a CRT TV they can enhance with a DVD player and an old video game console, a plant they can fertilize to get free Kindness points every 16 days and a shelf that can hold most of the game's room decorations.
Something else Joker gets from cleaning his room is a pair of books. Yoncha Walker 04 will unlock every location in Yongen-Jaya, and if players already have every location, it can still count towards the total number of books read. The other book Joker gets is Social Thought, which requires Knowledge 2 but gives a big boost to Knowledge when read.
How to Clean the Dining Room
The other way to clean Leblanc is downstairs in the dining area. If Joker has a free evening, players can interact with the restroom by the staircase and can choose to either sit and think for a while or to clean Leblanc. Doing so will give Joker a small Kindness boost and a small relationship boost with Sojiro. However, Joker can't clean the café until all the customers are gone, so if any are around, players should talk to them until they leave.
The best time to clean Leblanc, including both Joker's room and the café area, is at the start of the game. Players don't have many options at this point since Sojiro won't let Joker leave Leblanc at night, and so cleaning is one of the few ways players can start boosting Joker's stats.
