The Major Arcana are symbols that originated from tarot cards; objects often used to predict the future of an individual during a dedicated reading. Each symbol represents a different concept and can be interpreted in multiple ways, though all such interpretations have a consistent pattern as they appear in Persona 5 Royal.

The Fortune Arcana is one that pertains to chance, fate, and luck. As such, it is appropriate that the confidant for this arcana is Chihaya Mifune, a fortune-teller who uses tarot cards. The personas that can be summoned from this group often share similar traits, like fate-related gods or other luck-wielding mythical figures from religions and cultures around the world. The most powerful of them can deliver deadly, unpredictable attacks to foes or pull allies low on health back up from the edge of demise.

9 Stone Of Sconce

treasure demon from persona 5.
  • Cheapest Fusion Recipe: N/A
  • Money Required: N/A

Besides the regular personas that can be found, there are treasure demons that can be encountered in Mementos or in a palace. Stone of Scone is one such being that is a general reference to valuable gems that are usually held under lock and key.

They cannot be fused from other personas, as with all treasure demons, though they can be used in a great number of fusions to higher-level allies. At level 20, they are also pretty handy since they possess three useful traits and have immediate access to moderately damaging skills from all elements except Almighty.

8 Clotho

figure from greek mythology
  • Cheapest Fusion Recipe: Silky and Pixie
  • Money Required: ¥6,382

As one of the three sisters of fate from Greco-Roman mythology, Clotho can accordingly manipulate the flow of battle and handles the lives of gods and mortals alike as the sister who spins destiny's threads. At level 27, she comes with the instant death Bless-type skill, Mahama, which has low odds of ending the lives of all enemies.

She also has a ton of support skills that can inflict the 'forget' status ailment to adversaries to mentally cripple them in battle as well as many healing skills that remove ailments from Joker's party. For the meager cost of ¥6,382, players can fuse her with Silky and Pixie very easily.

7 Ariadne

persona from the fortune arcana originally from persona 4.
  • Cheapest Fusion Recipe: N/A
  • Money Required: N/A

Ariadne is another figure from Greek mythology. She is the most famous for providing the hero Theseus with the thread that allowed him to find his way out of the labyrinth after slaying the Minotaur. She also appeared in Persona 4 as the main persona of the character Labrys.

In gameplay, she excels at using powerful physical skills, such as Beast Weaver, which is one of the earliest accessible colossally damaging physical skills. However, both the level 30 Ariadne, and her level 42 alternate Picaro form, cannot be acquired by normal fusions. This persona must be obtained by purchasing and downloading the required DLC, making real money, and an internet connection the only components that can get her onto one's party.

6 Lachesis

greek sister of fate who measures life threads from the fortune arcana.
  • Cheapest Fusion Recipe: Anubis and Phoenix
  • Money Required: ¥54,343

An older sibling to Clotho, Lachesis is the sister of fate from Greek mythology who measures the length of a being's life-thread, gauging their experiences with discerning eyes. At level 35, Lachesis focuses on granting the party a couple of nice boons with her passive skills, particularly Growth 2, which allows her to gain 50% experience while she isn't even Joker's active persona. This makes her very easy to level up.

She also comes with some moderately damaging Ice skills as well as many support skills that heal party members of status ailments. The least expensive out of the guaranteed fusions for this weaver of life and death is to merge Anubis and Phoenix for ¥54,343.

5 Atropos

the eldest greek sister of fate who is also a persona from the fortune arcana.
  • Cheapest Fusion Recipe: Anubis and Kaiwan
  • Money Required: ¥79,318

Making the sibling set complete in Persona 5 Royal, one can also find Atropos, elder sister to Clotho and Lachesis, in the Fortune Arcana. Atropos is the one in charge of ending the lives of all whose destiny is meant to come to an end with magical scissors that cut the thread of life.

Surprisingly, she does not have any instant death skills. Instead, she specializes in moderate and heavily damaging Electric ones. Much like her younger sister Lachesis, Atropos can be created with Anubis, though also needs Kaiwan to be combined with for a proper fusion at ¥79,318.

4 Fortuna

the roman goddess of luck in the fortune arcana.
  • Cheapest Fusion Recipe: Ananta and Thunderbird
  • Money Required: ¥97,606

This aptly named Roman goddess originated from the Greek deity Tyche, who embodied similar traits. However, over the centuries and the spread of Christianity, things changed a bit for Fortuna. Unlike many deities from other religions, Christianity did not dismiss her as a demon or pagan deity, instead integrating her into local cultures as a symbol of good luck. She can even be seen in many tarot card decks upon the Wheel of Fortune card, which is the inspiration for the Fortune Major Arcana in P5R.

As might be gleaned from the flowing nature of her in-game model, Fortuna uses primarily Wind-related skills, though also can learn some support skills to relieve party members of certain status conditions. At level 46, she can be summoned by polymerizing Ananta and Thunderbird for ¥97,606.

3 Norn

norse figures who control fate in the fortune arcana.
  • Cheapest Fusion Recipe: Sarasvati and Kushinada
  • Money Required: ¥131,014

Very much the Norse mythology equivalent to the Greco-Roman sisters of fate, Norn are the ones responsible for spinning, measuring, and cutting the threads of destiny for all beings. They reside among the roots of the world tree Yggdrasil and nurture them with water and sand from their Well of Fate.

They have a large variety of skills that make their level 52 appearance very useful in the mid or end-game. In addition to offensive skills from the Wind and Electric elements that deal heavy damage, Norn also has the immensely helpful Samarecarm support skill which revives an ally with full HP. This mighty group of goddesses is guaranteed to be fused by combining Sarasvati and Kushinada for ¥131,014.

2 Asterius

the minotaur called by their name that was originally a persona from persona 4. In the fortune Arcana.
  • Cheapest Fusion Recipe: N/A
  • Money Required: N/A

Asterius is the name of the legendary Minotaur from Greek mythology. He was born from the union of the Cretan Bull and King Minos' wife Pasiphae as punishment for the king not sacrificing the bull to Poseidon. Afterward, he was locked away in the labyrinth and was given sacrifices to sate his rage and hunger.

He is also a persona originally from Persona 4 and comes with a more powerful Picaro form, just as most DLC personas do. These forms are level 56 and 62 respectively, which make them a great end-game unit specializing in devastating Fire and physical skills. Once more like their DLC persona brethren, they can only be acquired via online purchase.

1 Lakshmi

the hindu goddess from the fortune arcana.
  • Cheapest Fusion Recipe: Barong and Mishaguji
  • Money Required: ¥163,414

Lakshmi is one of the three most powerful goddesses from Hindu mythology. She, along with Parvati and Sarasvati make up the female deity trifecta known as the Tridevi. She embodies feminine qualities deemed ideal, such as love and beauty, though also represents good fortune.

Appropriately, this level 69 persona has skills extremely well suited to supporting the party. Her skills, Mediarahan, which fully heals the HP of the whole party, and Amrita Shower, which cures most status afflictions of allies, makes her one of the best personas to bring along if one needs more survivability. For only ¥163,414 she can be fused by mixing Barong and Mishaguji. It should also be mentioned that one needs to have fully maxed out their relationship with the Fortune Arcana confidant Chihaya to gain access to this incredible fusion recipe.

Persona 5 Royal is available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
