Ann Takamaki is a potential love interest in Persona 5 Royal, but aside from that, she's also a great friend to Joker if the player doesn't decide to pursue a romantic relationship with her.

She's the confidant of The Lovers Arcana and can strengthen any Persona that's attached to this category. She's an incredibly kind person, and as such, should be given plenty of gifts! Since she's obsessed with shopping and that's the best way to further your relationship with her, it only makes sense that you can find most of the things she likes best at various malls. The best are as follows.

Updated on November 5, 2022 by Ritwik Mitra: Persona 5 is a series full to the brim with some of the most memorable characters in video gaming history. One such character is Ann Takamaki, who's one of the first party members to join the team when the Phantom Thieves are formed for the first time and decide to make Kamoshida pay for his crimes once and for all. Joker can also befriend Ann and give her gifts to deepen their bond, with the best of the bunch being mentioned below.

15 Sakura Fan

Ann Takamaki

The Sakura Fan is a traditional Japanese item that is definitely the perfect gift for someone like Ann, who really doesn't want people to judge her because of her exotic looks. Gifts like these definitely help her feel more grounded and place Joker in a pretty positive light too.

The Sakura Fan can be bought from the High Sense Japanese Sundries shop in the Shibuya Underground Mall for around ¥4,800. If players check the Home Shopping Program on the 29th of May, they can purchase this item for ¥3,980 instead!

14 Flower Basket

Ann Takamaki in Persona 5

Diamonds might be a girl's best friend, but flowers serve as a great acquaintance too. So, it's easy to see why a simple yet effective gift like the Flower Basket would work wonders with Ann.

This item can be purchased from the Flower Shop Sukebe in Shinjuku for ¥2,400. It also appears on the Home Shopping Program but isn't really worth buying since it's priced higher than its retail variant.

13 Local Mascot Set

Speaking of cute things, another thing that most girls would definitely like is a set of mascots that are beloved locally. All of these bases are covered with the Local Mascot Set, which is a great gifting option for Ann.

This item can be purchased from the Goods Shop Tokobushiya in Akihabara for ¥3,600. Since this area takes a while to unlock in the game, players should be patient before they get an opportunity to purchase this gift.

12 Blaring Alarm Clock

Most people would assume that getting an alarm clock is easily one of the most annoying gifts that anyone can get. However, it seems that many people actually like to wake up on time, including Ann!

As a result, the Blaring Alarm Clock becomes another great gift for this Phantom Thief. Buying it in Akihabara costs a pretty penny, so players should try and snag it from the Home Shopping Program for ¥9,980 on the 19th of June instead.

11 Watercolor Postcard

For the most part, the Watercolor Postcard is a gift that should ideally be reserved for Yusuke. However, if players want to throw all their gifts at Ann instead, then this choice isn't the worst either.

This gift is relatively cheap, with players being able to purchase it for a meager ¥800! It's a great gift for players to buy early on in the game since they're strapped for cash, appearing at the Stationary Store Mitsubachi Bungu in Kichijoji.

10 Chocolate Truffles

Convenience store persona 5

"Chocolate truffles made with meticulous detail. May make a nice gift". This item can be found at the Underground Mall, specifically at Taisho Store Premium Supermarket for 2,800 yen.

Surprisingly enough, Ann Takamaki will also take Cheap Chocolate from the discount shop in Shibuya, but your friend surely deserves better. That being said, pretty much everyone is excited about getting chocolate, so maybe it doesn't matter too much.

9 Face Beautifier

Ann closeup persona 5

"Can apparently shrink your face in no time flat. May make a nice gift". For whatever reason, it appears that shrinking your face is a desirable trait in the universe of Persona 5 Royal, which is more strange than any of the personas our phantom thieves encounter throughout the game.

This arcane artifact can be acquired at Akihabara from the Electronics Superstore Akindo for 9,800 yen.

8 Rose Bouquet

Ann closeup

"A romantic bouquet of beautiful red roses. May make a nice gift". This one is pretty self-explanatory, although there's maybe one thing that should be explained a little bit more thoroughly.

The roses don't necessarily have any kind of romantic application outside of their connotation as something someone romantically interested in someone else would gift. You can pick them up at Shinjuku in the Flower Shop Sukebe

7 Star Mirror

Furniture in Joker's room

"A star-shaped mirror that's supposed to be lucky. For a spiritual someone." This one might come off as a bit of a surprise, especially because Ann Takamaki doesn't come off as a spiritual person so much as maybe kinda vain.

Either way, the mirror fulfills a purpose and she likes it to the highest degree possible in the game. It can be found at Shinjuku in the Furniture/General Store Mran Mran. It can be purchased for 4,000 yen.

6 Castella

Ann black and white card Persona 5

"Sponge cake topped with coarse sugar. For someone with a sweet tooth". While food might be kind of a strange gift depending on who the people involved in the situation are, there are plenty of different types of foods available in the game.

One of the two that Ann really likes is Castella. It can be found at the Underground Mall, specifically inside the Taisho Store Premium Supermarket, where its price is 1,500 yen.

5 Uji Matcha Flan

Persona 5 Strikers Ann

"Pudding made from Uji matcha green tea. May make a nice gift". For those who aren't aware of where matcha comes from, it's mostly derived from traditional ceremonial tea ceremonies where the popular Sencha green tea was ground up.

While traditionally Matcha was bitter, the use in various pastries and lattes has made for a bit of an updated sweet taste. It can be bought from the Underground Mall at Taisho Store Premium Supermarket, or from the TV.

4 Heart Ring

Heart Ring persona 5 convenience store

"A ring with a heart-shaped gem set in it. May make a nice gift." The heart ring is one of the most expensive items in the game, coming in at a whopping 88,000 yen.

While it's extremely expensive, it only makes sense considering it's very fancy, and even though there aren't any items that imply romantic attention necessarily, this definitely seems like it would be. It can be found in the Underground Mall at the luxurious Tsurukame Diamond.

3 Crimson Lipstick

Ann info card persona 5

"An intensely red lipstick worn by a popular model. May make a nice gift". It seems a little odd that the description mentions that there's a famous model who frequently wears the makeup, it definitely makes sense that Ann if anyone would be into the Crimson Lipstick.

Still weird that a model would be popular enough among the general public to make it a highly sought-after gift, but here it is. You can get it at the Underground Mall in the Body Chop Cosmetic Store for 6,000 Yen.

2 Designer Perfume

Ann and Joker date Persona 5

"A famous brand of perfume with a gentle scent. For a sensual person in your life". Another item from the Underground Mall location, at the Body Chop Cosmetic Store, at the reasonable-ish price of 7,800 yen.

Surprisingly enough, Ann's immediate response to the fact that you're buying her something to make her smell good isn't offense at the implication that she smells bad! She's extremely grateful, and your friendship level increases a ton!

1 Best Of KGB49

Panther Persona 5

"Complete history of KGB49 from start to present. May make a nice gift". This gift can be purchased from the Underground Mall at the Babel Records Music store.

KGB49 is presumable a popular band in the universe of Persona 5 Royal, although there's not really mention of them anywhere else in the game for the most part. It's a kind gesture for Ann as a confidant, but it would be great to know a bit more about them.

Persona 5 Royal is available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
