Atlus has recently updated a domain for a possible Persona 5 spin-off, which is a likely indicator that the next related project in the franchise could officially be unveiled soon. Atlus has been producing a lot of spin-off titles and projects related to Persona 5, much like it did to its prior title Persona 4. This has seen multiple collaborations with mobile games, a re-release in the form of Persona 5 Royal, and more. This year even saw a mobile/PC exclusive title by Black Wings and Perfect World Games known as Persona 5: The Phantom X announced, though it is currently exclusive to China. Yet another game in the franchise could be announced very soon, thanks to a recent update.Earlier near the end of May, Atlus registered a possible domain name related Persona 5, this being "P5T.JP," which lines up with similar past projects that Atlus have produced. This was first registered on May 16, 2023, though currently the site is inactive and leads to an 'HTTP 404 Not Found' error message. While Atlus has previously registered a bunch of domain names that never got anything related to them unveiled, an update indicates that Atlus may be gearing up for its official unveiling soon.RELATED: You Can Now Play Persona 5 Royal With a Female ProtagonistThis update to the "P5T" domain is similar to past updates made to Persona 5-related media and games before they were announced. In short, the website has been moved from the Japanese domain registrar nameservers (also known as Onamae) to Atlus' own nameservers. Whenever these changes are made in the nameservers, this usually indicates that a game will be officially announced very soon, with past reveals having happened almost within two weeks of these updates.

Previous examples include Persona Q2's domain being moved to Atlus' nameservers, with the game's official announcement happening almost a week later at a Persona music concert. Other games like Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5 Strikers were teased shortly after their nameservers were changed. There are a couple of upcoming events that would be a possible platform for Atlus to unveil what this P5T project is. The first is Summer Game Fest 2023, which will take place less than a week from now, on June 8. There is also the Xbox Games Showcase a few days later on June 11.

Asides from being a brand-new spin-off game in the franchise, it could also possibly be related to the aforementioned Persona 5: The Phantom X mobile spin-off. One theory posits that since P5X doesn't have its own domain yet, this one could be for its possible international title, with Persona 5 Tactics being thrown around as one that could be used if the game makes it out of China. That said, this is all still speculation and rumors, so fans should take it with a grain of salt until this possible Persona 5-related spin-off is shown.
