Atlus' Persona 4 Golden remains one of their greatest JRPG releases. As a defining game for the PlayStation Vita, this title received no re-release until June 2020. Only recently did Atlus release Persona 4 Golden on Steam complete with HD upscaling and some new features.

Whether you're a longtime fan of Persona 4 or you're playing through it for the first time, perhaps you should know what you're getting into. Before you decide which girl to choose to be with, assuming you don't choose both of them, our list should set you up with some advice on picking which one you might prefer.

10 Chie: Will Fight For You

As a Kung-Fu enthusiast, Chie is all about brawling. She loves to speak with her kicks to get her point across. Despite her aggressive fighting style, however, Chie has a huge heart. She will protect anyone close to her.

In her social link, one part of her plot involves standing up for a younger kid being bullied by students. Even when the numbers oppose her, Chie is willing to stand up for him.

9 Yukiko: Manages an Inn

While Chie comes from more humble roots, Yukiko helps manage her family's inn. This inn is a feature tourist attraction in the town of Inaba. In an area known for next to nothing, this might be the most luxurious point.

Not only is it home to deluxe cuisines but it also has hot springs. If that's not good enough, the Amagi Inn also has an entire ski slope. When it snows, it becomes a travel resort. Being with Yukiko likely means free entry to all of the above!

8 Chie: Doesn't Have a Frequent Laughing Habit

At first glance, Yukiko seems like a quiet, demure young lady. Chie is always the one speaking in a raised voice, laughing loudly, and making dumb plans.

However, after saving Yukiko, her true personality comes out. Once her ordeal is over, she begins laughing it off. Eventually, it becomes one of her common gestures to giggle loudly at the smallest things. At one point, in Persona 4: The Animation, Chie even tells her off.

6 Chie: Will Share Her Kung-Fu Movies With You

Yukiko doesn't reveal much about the things she loves. You can learn more by bringing her to movies, but she's never as enthusiastic about her hobbies. Chie, on the other hand, will quickly tell you she loves Kung-Fu movies.

Whether you're a fan of Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, or more, she would love nothing more than to hang out with you while watching Enter the Dragon for the umpteenth time. This also greatly influences her battle cries and even her attack animations.

5 Yukiko: Can Heal You

Probably one of the hardest blows to Chie, as a party member, is her inability to do more than simple offensive magic and attacks. Teddie outclasses her ice magic once you recruit him and also comes with stat boosts and attack abilities.

Yukiko isn't prone to such limits. In addition to Fire and Darkness skills, Yukiko is a skilled healer. In fact, she may be the best healer in the game barring Teddie. In addition to AoE healing and revival, she can also cure the party of most status ailments.

4 Chie: Doesn't Need Magic to Fight

On the flipside, Chie is much better at physical abilities. She's a little more durable than her friend, Yukiko, and is willing to dish out a beating on enemies. Coupled with Tarukaja, she can land powerful hits.

What makes this important is relative to the enemy you're fighting. If you don't have Teddie in your party, Chie picks up the slack with Ice magic. Moreover, she's much more effective at fighting Wealth Hands thanks to her strong physical prowess. Yukiko, on the other hand, can only throw fans for weak damage.

3 Yukiko: Less Impulsive

Chie is quick to jump into danger. She's willing to take a beating for others at the expense of her own well-being. She's also a poor planner and always does poorly on school tests.

Yukiko, however, uses her reserved manner to make more sound judgments. She will at least practice cooking before she force-feeds her friends Mystery Food X.

2 Chie: Galactic Punt

One of Chie's best assets is her key finishing move. Galactic Punt allows you to instantly KO a normal enemy. In doing so, you'll save some MP, not having to cast on an enemy, in order to initiate an All-Out Attack.

This move quickly distinguishes itself from other party members' attacks, including Yukiko's, who can only deal critical damage. Moreover, the latter also targets already-downed enemies sometimes, wasting a turn in the process. The drawback, however, is this won't work on bosses.

1 Yukiko: More Fashionable

While Persona clearly sorts characters based on color schemes, this becomes something of a joke in one of the cutscenes. Chie always picks green and yellow outfits subconsciously even to the point that she mixes them together for a combination.

One of Yukiko's better-looking outfits is a white dress. This beautiful dress comes with a pair of heels and makes up her summer attire.
