  • Persona 3 Reload introduces a new cast of voice actors for the characters in the social link system, enhancing the interactive social sequences.
  • The remake includes fully voiced dialogue for rank-up sequences, making it the most voiced Persona game to date.
  • The lineup of voice actors includes veterans from popular gaming and anime franchises, generating excitement among fans.

Atlus has announced more members of Persona 3 Reload's new cast. These voice actors are for the characters from Persona 3's social link system, which are special interactive social sequences between the player and certain NPCs in the game. The original game would help pave the way for its sequels to refine upon, culminating in Persona 5's confidant system. The Reload remake will overhaul this system to make it more akin to more modern games, which is one of the biggest changes between Reload and the original Persona 3.

As detailed by the game's director, Persona 3 Reload overhauls the social link system to include fully voiced dialogue for when the player moves up a rank in the link. This makes Persona 3 Reload have the most voiced dialogue in a Persona game to date. The original game didn't have voice acting for these rank-up sequences, so players will get to hear these characters' voices in-game for the first time. Atlus recently revealed the cast list for these characters, who are all a part of the student body of the school the protagonist attends, Gekkoukan High School.

These were all confirmed by Persona Central on Twitter, who listed each character and voice actor who voiced them in Persona 3 Reload. These include homeroom classmate Kenji Tomochika, the Gourmet King Nozomi Suemitsu, athletic sports jock Kazushi Miyamoto, P.E. Team manager Yuko Nishiwaki, and many more. The lineup of actors includes a number of veteran voice actors from gaming and anime franchises that fans may recognize. Some of these actors have been in big name properties like Genshin Impact, Fire Emblem, NEO: The World Ends With You, and Demon Slayer, among others.

Persona 3 Reload English Dub Cast

  • Joe Zieja as Kenji Tomochika
  • Paul Castro Jr. as Nozomi Suemitsu
  • Mark Whitten as Kazushi Miyamoto
  • Shelby Young as Yuko Nishiwaki
  • Kelly Baskin as Chihiro Fushimi (replacing Wendee Lee and Cassandra Lee Morris)
  • Griffin Burns as Keisuke Hiraga
  • Jeff Berg as Bebe
  • Austin Lee Matthews as Hidetoshi Odagiri

Most of Persona 3 Reload's new cast consists of talent that have rose to prominence in recent years, with many of these casting choices being very warmly received. Most of these characters didn't have voiced dialogue in the original game, so many were anticipating how these events would play out with voice acting. Of these characters, only one previously had a voice, Chihiro Fushimi, who had a cameo in the original Persona 4 and Persona 4: The Animation. In those brief appearances, she was played by Wendee Lee and Cassandra Lee Morris respectively.

Many were ecstatic to hear how these new actors would sound in Persona 3 Reload, especially with the additions of Joe Zieja, Paul Castro Jr., and Mark Whitten. Some made crossover jokes between this game and Fire Emblem: Three Houses, since the cast has Tara Platt reprising as Elizabeth, Chris Hackney as Jin Shirato from Persona 3's Strega faction, and Joe Zieja as Kenji Tomochika, with the three aforementioned actors previously playing Three Houses' three house leaders. More of the Social Link cast is likely to be revealed before the remake's February launch.

Persona 3 Reload launches February 2, 2024, on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
