Persona 3 Reload ends during the first days of March, but your experience with the game doesn't have to. Like other Atlus games, P3R has a New Game Plus mode that lets you carry certain achievements and benefits into a new game.

The New Game Plus of Persona 3 Reload works a little differently compared to the original Persona 3 or other Persona games. For one thing, special challenges like Monad Doors and the Elizabeth fight can take place in the first playthrough. However, starting a new game will give you a variety of helpful advantages.

How to Start a New Game Plus

Persona 3 Reload Cherry Blossoms

The way you begin a New Game Plus is fairly easy, and Persona 3 Reload will walk you through most of the steps you need to take.

  1. Beat the game and get the Good Ending.
  2. Wait until the credits roll and the post-credits cutscene ends.
  3. When the prompt appears, choose a save game slot. The selected slot should have cherry blossoms appear in the background, and the text will say "Clear Data."
  4. The next time you return to the main menu, its appearance and background music will be different. It'll maintain this new appearance for as long as you have a Clear Data save in one of your save slots.
  5. Instead of choosing "New Game," go to "Load Game" and select the Clear Data slot. The game will then start a new playthrough that carries over certain data from your previous playthrough.

  • All boosts to the protagonist's max HP and SP from items and Major Arcana cards.
  • All boosts to party members' Personas, HP, and SP from Incense and Major Arcana cards.
  • Items
  • Equipment
  • Skill Cards
  • Gems and Materials
  • Money
  • Twilight Fragments
  • Costumes (aside from the SEES uniforms)*
  • Key items that unlock Personas
  • Souvenir items like Christmas gifts*
  • Play time*

If you choose the Merciless difficulty, only the things marked with an * will carry over.

In addition, if you finish a New Game Plus playthrough, you can create another set of clear data and continue into a double New Game Plus. If you focus on picking the right cards during Shuffle Time, it's possible to eventually start a game with 999 HP, 999 SP, and a Persona with 99 points in every stat.

Here's what doesn't carry over in New Game Plus:

  • Elizabeth's Requests
  • Missing Persons
  • Party member levels
  • Party member evolved Personas (and the Theurgy abilities that come with them)
  • Shuffle Time cards
  • Unlocked Tartarus blocks
  • Social Link ranks
  • The current Persona stock
  • The endgame inventory of shops

Note that while the protagonist is the only character who keeps his levels, the Great Clock will make it remarkably easy for the rest of the team to catch up.
